Seriously though I am not sure about that. In that instance Mario, Pokemon and Fire Emblem are no longer exclusive either.
Mobile FTL is great. You can respond to things more quickly and it just flows so well. Unfortunately you lose your hard earned ships if you delete the app.
My laptop has a touch screen and a Nvidia 840M. Far better experience than mobile could ever provide.

Some mobile games are fun as hell. But in my opinion the platform is not primarily designed for gaming. And I feel as if for most users playing on mobile is just something to tide you over until you get back to your XBox One or PC.
I don't think anyone really chooses mobile as their 'platform of choice'.
One thing mobile does shine on that I'm starting to use it for quite a bit is DS emulation. Nothing like an actual roughly-DS-sized touch screen to nail the feel of an actual DS.
Also most decent DS games are better than most actual native mobile games these days.

That's true. With school and a new job mobile gaming is about all I have time for now.
Of course dedicated portable consoles also fill that role.
Instead of getting a meme console like the Ouya, you could just build a small PC. It'll be slightly larger and slightly more expensive, but with several orders of magnitude more capability.
Or just save up a spend a lot on a really high-quality "desktop replacement" laptop, which can serve as both a gaming machine and a portable workstation, such as the higher-end Dell XPS laptops which have GTX 1050s and quad-core i7 processors. That model, which is currently selling for around $1500, is easily more powerful than any of the current-generation consoles while also being portable and functional as a work computer.

Mobile is a great cash cow. But personally, the mobile part of the equation has to add something to the game. Ingress (or Pokemon Go) for example. I really hope that the RL world gets included more into mobile gaming.
I really like what Fallout 4 tried with mobile (not Shelter, I mean the companion app). Unfortunately it needed a pretty large screen to work correctly and the tablet I had at the time was hella unstable so I couldn't utilize it to the fullest extent.
But really, mobile is great for emulation, especially now that most phones have processors faster than the PS2.
The Rebel Alliances wrote:I just watched a video on youtube comparing the Nintendo Switch to the XBox One S and PS4 Pro. I think we need to slow down just a bit here. I know we console gamers love our console war comparisons but the Switch has been out less than a month. It's competition has had essentially three years to pick up steam. As a Switch owner myself I think we should give the new Nintendo Combatant until the holiday season of this year before we start throwing it in the ring at least.
And a random thought on the exclusive discussion, doesn't Microsoft's cross play essentially remove the point from 'XBox exclusives'? If it works the way I understand it then I feel like we essentially have Microsoft players now rather than XBox. With the cross platform play, Project Scorpio and all on the horizon.
Nah that's just some marketing buzz. Most Xbox 'exclusives' that have made their way to PC have been pretty underwhelming, especially compared to PC-designed games of similar purpose.
Compare Forza Motorsport 6: Apex to Assetto Corsa and you'll see what I mean.
