Horizon, the BBC science programme. It has been a part of my life since I was a child.

I also find Archer really, really funny - though comedy tends to date badly so I am not sure how well it will last for me.

Things like The Wire, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Borgen, The Killing, and Weeds get honourable mentions.

Doctor Who is my favorite show of all-time. I was introduced to it with the reboot (9th Doctor), but am on a quest to watch every episode in its long history, starting back in the 60s. I'm currently in the 80s (5th Doctor) as I wait for the new season.

Last Week Tonight, I think.

Although I very nearly put down Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
"Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy." - President Abraham Lincoln.

I can only agree on Breaking Bad, which is arguably the best TV show in history.

I would also add:
Better Call Saul
Preacher
Homeland (with Brodie)
True Detective (season 1)
Billions
Rectify
Shameless
Masters of Sex
The Affair
Fargo
