I like quite a bit of electronic music, though I'm not sure I have actually listened to any electronic music yet this year, so I couldn't really list any favorites.

I am, however, with just like anything, rather picky.

I like a bit of electronic stuff. I'm a big fan of Carbon Based Lifeforms, and I like some of ShockOne's and some of 65secondsofstatic's stuff. Overall there's not a whole lot I listen to - and I don't think I've listened to any that came out this year- but I've been meaning to listen to more of it for forever.

I have way too many genres on my hands atm. Right now I'm listening to Charles Avison, and all I can guess about him is that he was around before the battle of Sedan.
But to the chase: Is progressive house a subset of electronic music or something different? I listen to this set of mixes on YouTube with it and I like them.

I heard that remix from something before. It seemed like a weird song choice for the trailer, besides the name.

Either way, The Glitch Mob is good, though I didn't really get into their new album. Felt too...generic.

Yep. I just drop "The" and put the glitch and mob together.

Ah, in that case, I suppose I do belong here.
I listen the most to the 2015 series; this is volume 1. The one in this video I like the most is Nocturnal, by Nick Boults; it's from 23:27 to 29:27 in the mix and here'sa link to a version that's a bit shorter, because they cut out the part where it mixes into another music piece I believe.

If you want a recommendation, i'd recommend their song "Animus Vox". I personally feel that it has the closest vibes to Fortune Days.

As far as house music goes, I think this is as close as I get. I think it's a more mellow form of progressive house or whatever the main form of "house" is (Not hugely familiar with the genre)

Synthwave is love, synthwave is life. It's the fifth biggest genre in my library with 1600+ songs spannin 115 hours.

My Top 10 Albums for this year have two electronic albums in there, Zombie Hyperdrive's Hyperion at 5th and d.notive's Sentinel on 10th spot.

I'm not too big on electronic music...But there's some I like. Some stuff by Radiohead and Passengers (a U2 and Brian Eno side project), as well as some Tame Impala (it's pretty synth-y for my standards), plus an electronic song here or there (usually something older such as ''Blue Monday'' by New Order).

I'm leaving it as is. I spent like five minutes trying to think of their name, and I thought it was 5secondsofstatic at first. So I was... close. :p

Ooh, I like Brian Eno (haven't heard the side project though). Music for Airports is one of my favorite albums and his new one that came out a couple of months ago is pretty good as well.

Their electronic albums (Perdition City and Blood Inside) are probably my favorite albums by them. Yes, I'm a heretic and prefer their electronic stuff over their metal stuff.

ooooooo i really like electronic music, especially EDM and happy hardcore
s3rl has released a few good ones this year (Forbidden, When I'm There With You, Put Your Phones Up and Chillcore) and Penthox has as well (Give It Away and Escape)
The Eden Project would have to be my favourite producers though, sadly sex is the only thing they've released this year and it isn't that good.

Passengers isn't very popular, probably because it's very experimental and not commercial. If it was released under the name U2, then it would probably be popular. You can find the album on YouTube probably, just type "Passengers Original Soundtracks 1" (they're not real soundtracks btw but soundtracks for imaginary movies, though some songs did make it into movies).

Everyone knows the best electronic song is Darude Sandstorm.

I also like the initial section of Kraftwerk - The Robots, but the singing is ok.. but not the best.

I love experimental stuff like Oneohtrix Point Never and Coil. I also love synthpop. Stuff that's got a foot in both camps, like John Maus and The Knife, always catches my interest.

Sandstorm ain't the best electronic song ever, but it's legitimately pretty great. Timeless melody, like you could hear it in an 8 bit video game.

There is also the new Portishead song, which is a cover of an Abba song, and the song is entirely changed from the originally. Which are always the best covers.
