So I decided to go fix the problem by creating a "raw" folder and downloading COD:WAW sound files to rearrange into it. I rechecked the game. No serious change happened. So the sound files are still here, they just don't have anywhere to go; and I don't know how on earth to make the magic happen and have people talking and music playing again.

Halp.

Maybe, as it is second hand, something probably corrupted the files and messed them up. It is probably not just the music, but perhaps other critical files are also missing. The best thing to do is to get a new copy of WAW (Working Preowned games are getting cheaper). Its easier than checking every last file.

Sorry if this is off topic:

I signed up to the IGN Website. The site layout doesn't even work properly. I tried to add BOIII to my Game Collection, but this follow button supposedly under the game title is not there. I tried searching Follow using CTRL+F and it still didn't work.

The follow button is on users though..

Reinstall or get a new copy of the game.

I think the ArmA series does that. There is that commander thing where you could control the movements of AI troops.

I was playing a Half-Life 2 conversion on Steam called Codename Cure (I cant be bothered paying money). I got bored on it, and I remembered it was a Half-Life 2 mod, so I started using commands to spawn these vehicles and skulls, and then I noclipped, and watched my team be slaughtered by zombies while I flew around with a machine gun.

I haven't really been in the FPS market recently, except for Doom and MechWarrior Online I guess. I'm eyeing Battlefield 1 though.

Speaking of, what was everyone thinking when they saw the BF trailer? I was completely psyched. I saw the logos roll through in record speed, then suddenly, CLUB TO THE FACE. WE GREAT WAR NOW.

It was completely unexpected. In the brief moment it took me to register what war it was it moved on to a fucking desert, and then I realized Dice knew we knew that Trench Warfare wasn't all there was. In the course of ten seconds, I can tell 1.) It's a Battlefield game, 2.) It's WWI 3.) It's not just trench warfare. As you can tell, I'm psyched.

Fifty seconds later: BATTLEFIELD 1. They did what I see there.

It is a confusing name though.

Now we will have people in the future saying they bought the first battlefield, and relentlessly deny the existence of Battlefield 1942 - Hardline. Or is that going a bit too far?

Hmm... I will make a list of my top five FPS games...

5. Far Cry 2
Image

This was a great game. Unique Setting, realistic. One the topic of realism, the game had one problem: It was too realistic. It is an absolute pain when to try and blow people up with an RPG, and it just falls out, and blows up while you run away, alerting enemies that are always actively searching for you to chase you and shoot you while you cry because your guns don't work because the rusted too much. Then there is the fact that if you don't take pills, you die of Malaria. And please don't mention the checkpoints...
You had to plan carefully here, nearly everything wanted to kill you.

4. Medal of Honor: Frontline
Image

Medal of Honor... the former king of FPS's until Call of Duty (The original COD's working title in-studio was MOH Killer) stole the crown. Frontline was the fourth in the series. Released in 2002, the game was set during World War II. The initial mission on Omaha Beach is an iconic moment during the game. In the game, you are an OSS Agent named Lieutenant Patterson who is tasked with disrupting U-Boat Operations, but ends up SPOILERS. When I got the 2010 Reboot of Medal of Honor, I didn't realise I had bought the Limited Edition, so I was happy when I found it had a download of this included, and that you could set the controls to a more modern standard.

3. Call of Duty: Finest Hour
Image

First off, most WWII games are good. This one, however is different. Released in 2004 by Spark Unlimited, this was the first Call of Duty game to be released on consoles.
Although mildly dramatic at times, the gameplay is fun, and is beautifully accompanied by orchestral music composed by Michael Giacchino. This game is severely underrated. If it weren't for the disk being scratched a lot (Not by me of course), I would still be playing it now.

2. Call of Duty: Black Ops
Image

Released in 2010, Treyarch developed this as a sequel to Call of Duty: World at War. I enjoyed the plot (It isn't everyday you get a cold war game that is set in more than just Vietnam), though the bit about the numbers was a bit confusing, though I am assuming this was intended. I still remember playing online, running around with a Tiger Camouflaged MP5K and Crossbow, and getting a Death Machine from a care package, and plowing everyone down until a damn dog came.... those dogs.
What I have wondered though is this: Black Ops I is set in the 1960's. Black Ops III takes place in the 2060's. 100 years, and they still don't know what the numbers mean. Well done CIA.

And finally... at NUMBER ONE:

1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Image

Simply the best Call of Duty of all time. We all asked for futuristic games and exo suits. Fuck Modern Warfare, that was the worst. Especially COD4, it is so bad, its remaster doesn't get a standalone release..

Anyway, here is the serious one:

1. Star Wars Battlefront II
]Image

I admit, the DICE reboot wasn't exactly the best, but to be fair they did rush it so it could be released alongside Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. This one, released in 2005 by Pandemic Studios, was a lot, lot better, and still has a large community today, making mods. It had a great story, and this game deserves its place one of the best star wars games, among KOTR and The Force Unleashed. The Rise of the Empire Mode was based around a Kaminoan Clone in the 501st Legion, serving in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, and serving in the Imperial Military during the Galactic Civil War. Most of the best missions take place in the gap between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. My favourites are: Operation Knightfall (Coruscant) (Anakin got a cape), Tying Loose Ends (Mustafar) (DIE GIZOR DELSO DIE! DROIDS ARE OUTDATED!), Operation: Changing of the Guard (Kamino) (The Anti-Clones are OP) and Our Finest Hour (Hoth) (We even got to use the back area used for Hunt Mode).
Also updated was Galactic Conquest mode. It went from a maximum of five planets as in the original, to 20-30 planets in this installment.
