It's always a guaranteed 6 in one stat, which is dependent on which option you choose. The others vary normally, but even if you get a 6/3/3 you're doing very well.

I may want to stay away from having to deal with colonial nations. My Ceylon game didn't go too well when I colonized Australia. Ungrateful colonials...

Caddo was actually my first non European game ever, aaaaaaaaaages ago. I picked them because they're the closest nation to where I live IRL, and their flag is pretty. I never finished the game, but I did extremely well for a greenhorn.

Yeah, no. That's not going to happen. I will savescum the hell out of the game if anything even comes close to Johan. Once he reaches adulthood . . . I'll try to accept his death and pull back on the blatant cheating. This is a once in a lifetime EUIV experience, there's no way I'm not going to go to extraordinary lengths to keep it going for a while.

Then I declared on them after building a lot of troops and divided them into 3. No I want to colonize but have no idea how to do it. Is there a guide anywhere explaining everything? Cause I dont understand trading either.

There's a guide in Reddit and in EU4 wiki. For colonization you need to reach Administration level 5 and then choose Exploration Idea.

As far as I am aware, just let trading happen, don't attempt to fix it, just let it happen. My tampering lead to me going bankrupt on a number of occasions.
