The DC Extended Universe: Dawn of Nerdiness

Postby Lavan Tiri » Thu Feb 11, 2016 4:52 pm

The Lavan (not Mod) approved MegaThread for discussion of the DC Extended Universe, the newest, bestest set of live-action films by Warner Bros. Films and DC Comics, including speculation about future movies, casting, plots, and stuff like that.

Final Trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Wonder Woman Teaser

Suicide Squad Trailer

So there are a few guidelines, that, if we follow them, should ensure that this thread and any discussions end up being civil:
1: Don't be an asshat.
2: Don't bash actors, characters, etc. Criticism is fine, but don't let it go overboard. And don't attack others or their opinions, but debate is okay.
3: This is not a DC-versus-Marvel thread, at all.

Wow, that's a short OP. Whatever. So with that said, let's go.

HOLY SHIT THIS WHOLE THING LOOKS AWESOME. I especially like Eisenberg as Luthor; I was skeptical at first, but I'm thinking that he'll be the best supervillain since Heath Ledger.

I'm excited. Little worried about Afflecks Batman though.
How do you take your tea?: Seriously, very seriously.
Who the hell do you think you are?: I see myself as a mix of Don Quixote, Stephen Fry and 12 year old boy mixed into one very strange mind.
Are you always so modest?: Yes, though it takes a man of some character to pull it off.
Hey, your insensitive remark/insult/racial slur has me in a tizzy: Well, if you wish to cyber insult me, then do your worst.

Everybody said the same thing when Keaton was chosen as the Batman.
Copper can change as its quality went down.
Gold can't change, for its quality never went down.

An excellent example of why allowing unrestricted immigration of people with a very different culture might not be the best idea ever :P

I'm willing to give the guy a break though. Keaton was awesome.

Ehh………

I dunno. Keaton was good as Bruce Wayne, but not really the Bat. Same with Bale.

Also, I really really am liking Eisenberg as Luthor.

That's a good casting choice, that one.

And I liked Bales batman. What didn't you like?

That voice. And his fighting didn't seem right, to me.

Well, I think he's perfect for Batman. Behind Keaton. Kilmer is behind Bale.
