Well fellow members of Nationstates, we are here to talk about Modifications to games;

Share your story!

What is your favourite Mod?

How did you come across it?

What do you like about it?

And what new experiences does it add to the game that it is built upon and of course any issues you may have with it.

For me, its the Thrawn's Revenge Mod to Star Wars Empire At War Forces of

I came across this mod while browsing the week dark depths of 4chan, and after a while I warmed up to it, its new era system, amazing graphics and interesting new modes. I did find fault with its bizarre recycling of text from the original game, which made certain units say things they shouldn't

Here is the ModdB link to it

So far its the Third Age Total War with Divide and Conquer Submod for Medieval 2 Total War. I absolutely love it. Adds lots of gameplay hours, new units, better graphics. Just an all around perfect addition to a game that remains true to the spirit of the original.

Shouldn't this be in A&F?

Anyways, the best mod I ever used was for Postal 2. It basically added a new map that transformed Paradise into City 17. It let the Postal Dude use the HEV suit, it had all the weapons from HL2 including the animations (even the gravity gun!), it made the police officers Civil Protection officers, it was awesome. It also let you leave the map area and go into the normal game map with all mod weapons.

I've changed the title because I don't want to get my ass banned of something, I'm relatively new to doing threads.

P.S I've just realised that this is in Arts and Fiction, How do I move it?

You have to ask a moderator to move it in one of the threads in... well, moderation.

Also, Arts and Fiction is where this thread belongs...

Anyways! Favorite mods... too many to count, I usually have several dozen or hundred mods running in my Bethesda game installations, though Darker Nights and some sort of camping mod is essential for those games... outside of Bethesda games, Duke Nukem 3D: War of Attrition is a favorite of mine. Adds a crapton of new levels, a random campaign generator, an RPG-style level up system for weapons and upgrades, and vehicle support. Infestation in Time was pretty fun as well! The dev's gone on to make some pretty decent indie games as well, which is always good to see. (Eddy Zykov, if you're interested)

Morroblivion, Skywind, and Tale of Two Wastelands are some favorites of mine as well, if only so I can combine a few of my favorite games into one and enjoy the features of both at the same time... There's also Garry's Mod, for obvious reasons. Dicking around in Sandbox is a good time.

I adored the anthropomorphic pony mod for Fallout New Vegas and the mod for Fallout 2 where you can play as Littlepip. One notable favorite is Civilization V, the only game you can make Mr. Krabs fight ISIS.

I especially love the Unreal Tournament 2004 skins and maps, specifically the Beavis and Butthead skins. XD
