Honestly, as much as I was interested, there seems to be some serious flaws. I knew it would be over hyped, though, and I had my own reservations.

I pretty much knew from the get-go that the game was going to be a disaster.

The lack of any real information at the beginning, barely any gameplay, and the lack of any real transparency as to what the fuck it even was at first were bad signs.

I wasn't interested then, and finding out it's a glorified Early Access game with a sixty dollar price tag doesn't help.

It's a fucking waste of money, and anyone that believes the promises that it's going to improve is delusional.

I heard that if you're a fan of some of the simulator games like Euro truck simulator you'll like No Man's Sky more.

I used to play the truck games, so I like Euro Truck Simulator...

I think as far as space games go, I'll just actually get to playing Elite Dangerous

Space games always get overhyped.

If Star Citizen crashes and burns so too will the Internet.

Even if it succeeds there's no way it will live up to the hype some people are making for it. People will have their hopes crushed no matter what. Personally all I really care about is Squadron 42 (Which probably won't be out until next year). As long as it delivers a solid story I'll be satisfied.

Except that doesn't really hold up given the comparisons made.

Elite Dangerous is a better example for "Euro Truck Simulator in space", while No Man's Sky looks like a colourful "DayZ on a dead server".

Welp.

My first DS1 playthrough is coming to a close.

Besides Gwyn, the only bosses left alive are Artorias, Manus, and Kalameet. 55 hours in.

I guess it's off to Oolacile, then.

Speaking of Early Access, is there any recommendation on zombie-games in Early Access that is good and not stuck in Early Access for three years now?

Womble's feed makes it seem like it's fun if you make it into A, a PvP environment and B, make your own entertainment.

It got a Standalone, I'm still wondering why it's in Early Access after so long.
When did ZP review the game, after all?

So after 12 hours playing no man sky all I can say is I have no idea what everyone expected, It's exactly as I thought it would be and I fyully intend to sink many more hours into it. Could the "quests" be a bit deeper? sure. but I'm having a great time exploring the galaxy and learning about the world, exactly what the devs promised all along.

While I can agree from what I've heard, it still sounds like there's a bit of a mess.

It's not exactly a mess, from what I've heard and seen it seems the Playstation version may be a bit worse designed than the PC version theres no equivalent as far as I can see to "Spam square" the conversations are relatively fun for me anyway. I just managed to get a recipe for an atlas pass which was a real feeling of accomplishment another tell tale sign of a good game. It's not hyper realistic as far as the planets and solar systems go but the devs never said it was going to be, infact they said the opposite. I wouldn't say its "Complete" yet, I think some extra content might be needed to expand on what you can do in the game in order to increase the amount of game play hours players are going to get from it. But for a 12 person studios first game it's amazing.

Larger developers are also usually able to finish making their game before selling it.
