Wish it were free on PC.

Pretty sure "free" is a relative term when it comes to "free" on consoles, anyway. Because usually you pay monthly for "free" games.

The folks who made Long War are working on their own strategy game now but, also, have teamed up with Firaxis to make a few mods for XCOM 2 [official site].

Long War Studios are “currently hard at work on multiple mods for XCOM 2″, according to today’s announcement from Firaxis. These mods are due to be available from the start when XCOM 2 launches on February 5th, though what exactly they are is a mystery for now.

Now THAT'S how you do it. The modders having their own game is pretty cool, but the developers are WORKING with the modders? (I think?)

Considering the level of customization already shown in the vanilla game, probably.

Just got Metro Redux and AC4 Black Flag at Gamestop.

Is Metro as good as they say? (I've played Black Flag before, back on PS3).

Metro are hard games (atleast the first one).

Shotguns are useless against Humans, as the games calculates the penetration of every bullet and most humans wear some form of armor.

Hearing things from my dad, I realize how big of a joke working on a big studio game can be. There is so much time and money wasted on pointless things. No wonder the indie game market has taken off so well, since it lets them dodge all the bullshit and focus on making a GAME with their money and not having this or that for every dang thing.

I mean, the people behind Kingdom Come: Deliverance aren't even a big team I don't think, and they make a game that looks graphically amazing and way better than so-called AAA titles.

I'm getting tired of all these R6: Siege players who rush outside and FREAKING kill the entire enemy team before they can do anything!
It's so freaking unfair! Ubisoft needs to do something about these guys, because they take the fun out of everything, just like all the freaking aim-bot abusers!

Isnt it hypocritical to decry aimbot abusers while defending aim assist? :p

I've also been playing an MMO (Blade & Soul) with some friends who play a lot of MMO's. MMO's are starting to look really pretty graphically. And it seems pretty nice as far as an MMO goes, but considering I was playing a shitty grind fest one before this, anything looks like an improvement.

I didn't defend aim assist, I was saying that, in tournaments if someone has a controller, they should turn aim assist off. You guys were whining over just that, assuming that every controller user has aim assist on.
And aim assist isn't nearly as unfair as aim bot.

A good player with aim assist will beat a shit player with an aimbot nine times out of ten.

I know this from experience.

The only place where it really starts to be unfair is when the skill gap is relatively small.

Armor won't be knocked off or rendered useless by repeated shots, so unless you're hitting the face a shotgun will do a lot less damage to an armored human than you might expect. Fortunately, you also have access to weapons with enough penetration to go right through the body armor like the AK. I think even the pistol has enough penetration because it uses .44 ammo.

Always carry a shotgun, though. Most of what tries to kill you in the game isn't human or armored and will get in your face disturbingly fast.

you know, playing Wolfenstein the New Order, It kind of refreshing in the age of "realistic" and Sci-fi shooters to play a game that says "yes its a playable 80's action movie". That's honestly what makes it fun.

We played some Little Big Planet 2 Online and I have to say... there's nothing so fun than to slap other sackpersons online. And the Sackworld version of Plants vs Zombies (Zombots in the game) is adorable. Even if you lose and the zobots get into your home, the way they eat the sackboy's brains is super cute.

I'm sure you get to choose what you actually want to get, though you would probably still end up with a nightmarishly large library.

And my dad said he did a gamble in early Steam days. Dropped $1,000 on Steam, and just so happened to be one of the "winners" in whatever it was, which was having the entire Steam library for free for life.

Of course, there is that initial $1,000, but the fact you could, say, get Xcom 2 on day one for free, it will over time pay for itself. It probably HAS paid for itself by now.
