Are Juggalos a gang?

The FBI say rhat Juggalos, fans of the horrorcore rap band Insane Clown Posse, are a hybrid gang. ICP is suing them, and after a court threw out the lawsuit, recently they won an appeal which will force the lower courts to look at the case again.

Do you think that the government should be able to say you are a criminal due to music you listen to? Immagine if this happened to a black artist with a primarily black fanbase, maybe one of the several artists who actually raps about being in a gang and doing illegal activities.

I think that the government has no moral standing to condemn Juggalos as gangsters. Remember when Juggalos propped up brutal corrupt dictators in the third world? Or what about the time when they invaded Iraq (who they used to sell chemical weapons to) for made up reasons and lied about it? Or when Juggalos created a system of mass incarceration based on denying adults the right to put only certain drugs in their bodies while keeping the more harmful drug of alcohol legal? Funny I only remember the diseased US federal government doing that.

Not all of the fan base that call themselves "Juggalos" are criminals, in fact the majorty are not. Some however, are, and adopt the subculture as an identity.

Hence why I said it depends on the group, there certainly are plenty of Juggalos who do look at it like a gang and treat it as such. Likewise there are plenty who don't, it all depends on the person really.

I'm not sure, actually. I'd have to think about it, seeing as I don't really associate with any subcultures.

I don't harbor anything against juggalos as a whole, I must say that, it's just not for me. Plus, I don't condone the crazier ones who spray paint cars and cause societal harm in the name of the insane clown posse.

I don't exactly fit the description of a Juggalette and wouldn't class myself as one, however some people might class me as one - it's up to them. For example I don't wear the facepaint and wield hatchets while shouting "whoop whoop" every two seconds. I do however enjoy the music very much.

Anyway, I don't condone the wankers who damage property, harm people and deal drugs in the name of the Insane Clown Posse either. Nor does most of the community.

I don't necessarily class myself as a Juggalette, although I am a pretty big fan of the music, so some might class me as one. I don't spraypaint cars or harm people. I don't condone those wankers either.
