Have a sniper rifle.
Converted PTRS with 8x optical scope and electronic target tracking. Fires 14.5mm armor-piercing incendiary rounds from detachable 5-round box magazines and sports an oversized suppressor predominantly for recoil reduction purposes. Removes mutants.

I've been going through the Wiki looking at them, and my God they are horrendously hideous looking abominations. Many of them don't even look like weapons, just piles of literal junk that would fall apart if you pulled the trigger. And somehow it seems mods make them look even worse.
Bethesda needs to learn what guns are, apparently, because a lot of these designs are downright illogical.

One thing I like about the combat shotgun is that they basically fixed the one from Fallout 3 (which had the drum mounted like a foot away from the ejection port). The combat rifle is neat because I can make it look like a pseudo BAR.

Several of them are literal pieces of junk.

I can agree with that, but I suppose that's the tradeoff: New Vegas had minimal customization, but compensated by having a larger number of unique weapons. FO4 allows for greater customization, but because of this, there are fewer unique weapons. The combat rifle seems to be the culmination of an attempt to roll both the Garand and the BAR into one modifiable weapon.
Fortunately mods can help expand that pool of base weapons, although it's a delicate balancing act.

A lot of the guns there are supposed to look like shit. It has been 200 years since the bombs fell, you know.

But I see what you mean. Since Fallout doesn't have a durability mechanic, it is illogical for many of the guns to keep working.

The legendary weapons and armour system is a bit stupid too. I got a legendary shishkebab that does cryo damage. A flaming sword than freezes. A sword of ice and fire.
