Not even when it's one of those fancy visual kei or idol pop acts?

In the case of those, I'll go as far as occasionally looking at PVs to go "ooh, that's pretty" and slightly more extensive searching on the internet to obtain digital copies of the three or four extra editions of every bloody album so that I get the full tracklist.

I preordered this set of CDs and DVDs from Candlemass, as well as a book detailing the history of the band. It also comes with photos of the band, and a certificate signed by the band. Pretty cool.

Ah, Candlemass. You could say they are the Iron Maiden of the doom metal scene in a way, if only because Candlemass has a distinct melodic heavy metal feel.

Yes quite different in a way, from say Pentagram or Cathedral, and you can really feel the power/traditional influences in their music.

My collection needs far more Candlemass than I have right now. I only have Chapter VI with Sjunger Sigge Furst as bonus tracks.

Even though they are quite different from the band that started it all, Black Sabbath.

Back in the nineties, Cradle of Filth had quite elaborate special editions of their albums, packaged in small coffins and such. You got your hands on a number of bonus tracks that way, but I simply waited until a compilation 2cd with those very same special edition songs was released. Dream Theater also tends to be quite adept when it comes to providing their dedicated fans with fancy versions of their latest albums.

Not literal packages. I actually like those things. I was referring to the expensive payments for shit that ain't worth it. Like a few thousand or whatever for access to a "special merch website".

So, I know a local punk/grunge band, and I'm wondering if I could join as a vocalist, and convert it into a grindcore band. I mean, Grindcore is just punk combined with death metal. So it could work?

Also it should be noted that grindcore is originally a more intense and faster version of raging crust punk. So start with gently nudging the band towards the sound of Discharge, Doom and Extreme Noise Terror.

Alright, slowly to that of more extreme acts like Napalm Death, and a favorite of mine, Brutal Truth. Also, yes, I can scream.

Their debut is the best folk metal album of all-time if you ask me. Haven't really been able to get into the last couple albums though.

Nightfall, nice. But anyway, on a more serious note, since most of you here seem to like Candlemass, I think you would like Messiah Marcolin's pre-Candlemass band, Mercy. They have a good first album, and the opening song is absolutely killer in terms of music, with comical lyrics to accompany it. I Am The Beast, I'm Your Pervert PRIEST!!!
