Wow, Shokran truly has high production values! Kinda like a more brutal, faster Arcturus, shifted towards the death metal spectrum.

Most black metal deserves the vinyl listen. I'm going to get myself a 4-in-1 soon.

Perhaps the more epic or atmospheric, or even classical one. I doubt raw black metal is meant to be played in any other way than on a tape-thing. Can't image Wóddréa Mylenstede on a vinyl, really. Anyway, what's a 4-in-1?

Looks like Shokran doesn't even have a Metal Archives entry. Discogs.com does feature them, but it only mentions a MP3 file release from 2014.

A turntable with vinyl, CD, cassette, and AUX. Some also have radio.

Also yeah super raw black metal and demos are perfect on tape. But I would give my left testicle to hear Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism on vinyl.

As far as I can tell they've never released any physical copies of their stuff.

Surely Immortal's debut album has been rereleased on vinyl by now?

Yes, it's a great album. The title track is my favorite.

Still need to listen to that album, believe it or not, and I'm a big Summoning fan.

I see. Sounds proper. I'll probably wait until I finally move out to my own place, only then purchasing an actual vinyl player. If I'll be able to afford it.

That's a shame, but maybe you'll remedy that situation in the nearby future. Meanwhile I'm listenign to Shokran while being surprised that this band hasn't been picked up by any of the more relevant labels yet.

My roommate has one that's about $200 on Amazon. Either I scrap up the money from my last job for that or wait until May to pressure one of my parents

I like living near Seattle, and I think Seattle is a city I could deal with living IN. I'm not a huge city person (I live in a town of 2,500 people), but being so close to a city that pretty much every band imaginable goes to is nice. I was looking at the venue I'm going to in 3 days, and it's pretty much within a mile of everything else I've ever gone to concert hall wise. Even if that means a bar.

It wouldn't be much of a venue without a bar. Believe it or not, but most people would like to drink something while watching a show.

This is why I'm glad to be 21. Not because I care to drink, but so I can get into shows.

I'm pretty sure the last place I went to was a Vegan Bar, too.

For people to know, since I think it is a well known venue, where I am going is Paramount Theater.

It really is a fantastic album. Second best from this year.

I just can't take them seriously with that name. It's like We Butter The Bread With Butter without the intentional stupidity. Like, what were they thinking? Sounds like it doesn't fit the music at all.

Slice the Cake/Party Cannon/We Butter the Bread with Butter threeway split when.

Also, talking about music playing system, I have one that has radio, cd player, aux, usb and sd card slot. CD slot doesn't work anymore, but other than that it works just fine, I only use it for vinyl though, turn table is a separate thingy connected to the main unit. I also have separate radio/cd/cassette player but the cassette player doesn't work. At first it just failed to open and later it sucked the tape in, had to crack it open and carefully remove the tape.

My backlog is roughly 50 hours so far

I'll be able to tackle it in about two days. Gotta finish my collection marathon first though. It's not gonna take too long anymore since I'm on year 1977 and my collection isn't terribly big on albums from 1960s and 1970s.

Really enjoying this sludgy mathcore band. They're on Deathwish Inc. which is run by Jacob Bannon from Converge. I first heard these guys on a Deathwish promo a professor gave me last year which also had Deafheaven.
