Even though they're very much their own thing, you could try Nasum and Anaal Nathrakh.

That's it? Fuck I've already listend to both. Oh well i'll give more albums a try.

I agree! I was expecting it to be bigger and near the top, but oh well. The best thing about the purchase is my upgraded telegram box.

But joining RYM is going to imply having to work hard, because you're supposed to write proper reviews for all those albums you grade, right?

Nope, that's entirely optional. I'm not going to put any reviews up there since I already have a youtube channel devoted to that.

Talking about YouTube, I took the time to listen to that Opeth song you linked earlier, followed by the title track of their latest album. Both songs are pretty much in line with classic prog rock, actually. Didn't mind listening to them, but it's not terribly original.

Will O the Wisp just feels more like Opeth than Sorceress, even if it's equally derivative of prog rock. But since I love prog rock I'm fine with it.

New Epica song dropped today and...I'm mixed. The verse is a bit awkward and it's not Simone's voice that's the problem, it's how her voice is mixed that makes it hard to understand her. But yeah she could have been a LOT less poppy and annoying in those moments. The rest of the song is just great though. That verse setup is what annoys me.

My metal playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... cGZBeDtiML
The metal music starts at song 25 in the list. There's also some non-metal stuff in there, it's mostly hard rock though. Enjoy! <3
