Can't wait for tomorrow. I'm really pumped for Vykhor's debut album.

Here's a song from it.

Cattle Decapitation just announced a bunch of US dates. There's one in Austin (YESSSSSS), and it's only $15 (DOUBLE YESSSS), but it just so happens to be the same week that I'm already seeing Blind Guardian and then Scar Symmetry. Assuming I end up going, that will be a hell of a week! All of this will come after a stretch of having not been to a single show since February.

Damn, that was really good.

I try not to let his shit get to me, but that guy's Guide To The SubGenres list made me much angrier than it should have earlier this week.

Been listening to a lot of Zeal and Ardor, Fear of a Blank Planet by Porcupine Tree, and various Kayo Dot stuff (Actually less of Kayo Dot) over the last few days due to a long road trip (made longer on purpose to hit all the nice spots). Pretty sure we had the Zeal and Ardor album nearly 10 freaking times because it is so short, and Fear of a Blank Planet probably 5+ times. And a bunch of crappy radio music because we were curious about the channels. Found one actually interesting in Oregon (Mentioned it in the other music thread), but mostly it was meh stuff. Got a laugh out of the religious music station. Or preacher station. People actually listen to those stations for entertainment?

Meanwhile I've been a bit slow on listening to stuff on my backlog, since I've been listening through my collection. Last time when I did it I listened to them from A to Z. It got a bit tedious when there was 3+ albums in a row by some artists. So this time I'm listening to them A to Z by year, started from 2016 and then going backwards until the earliest one (probably Jimi Hendrix's Are You Experienced if my memory serves me right)

Right now I'm on 1998 about to finish Bolt Thrower's Mercenary.

That sounds like a fun way to rediscover old favorites, but goddamn it would take me forever.

Yup, grew up listening to religious music in the car every single day.

One time though, I was driving through rural Alabama at like midnight, and I stumbled upon some sketchy Christian talk station. This elderly woman was ranting on and on about her divine psychic visions from Jesus. She sounded so...disturbed. It was kinda scary, like a voice from a horror movie. Many of her visions were about the most bizarre and random things too. I was continuously cracking up for like 30 straight minutes before I passed out of range.
