I preferred the brutal part of it. The technical part sounded more like "look we're so technical!!" rather than actually good technical.

Disposal of the Dead: 4.5/5
Dharmata: 2.5/5
Overall: 3.5/5

I'm actually the exact opposite. Disposal is way too generic and messy-sounding (even by brutal death metal standards), but Dharmata feels like the band's take on later era Death. Awesome.

The only Defeated Sanity album I own is Chapters of Repugnance, which prominently features their brutal style. Nice record.

Chapters of Repugnance is one album on my infernally large "to buy" list. It really is a nice record.

Such a catchy but very powerful-sounding song from the Masters Themselves. According to rumor they're finally going to have a new album out, and if the split they did with Graveland is any hint it'll be really fucking good.

Probably what I love about this album the most is how much it draws from a wide range of music. Not just subgenres of metal but also folk, blues, prog rock, electronic music, and there's even some reggae inspired passages! It's an absolute masterpiece.

You know what, I actually liked Babesumar better because it sort of looks like Bulbasaur :p And before you change it again, Cocksumar is off-limits.

Very primitive American black/death metal

This stuff was apparently recorded in either in 1988 or 1989 by "Nekroholocaust".

Very underground stuff back then. Similar to Necrovore.

Cosumar confirmed for pokemon. Which made me think: "Are there metal bands singing about pokemon?"

Death metal/grindcore from Poland and Prgressive metal/Electronic from Canada.

Death/grind bands releases are downloadable from their label's site and Canadian one has their stuff on bandcamp, pokemon one is free :p

If it weren't for gay people, I wouldn't be into black metal.

Meaning the first person I met who liked black metal was gay. Just an interesting thing I thought about. He was in a class of mine and liked some of the bigger name bands like Immortal, Emperor, and CoF.

I fucking love Moonsorrow. We need a day dedicated to them.
