I never heard of these guys and honestly, not that song either.

But i listened to it anyway and it was okayish. I can listen to it, but it didn't really impress me.

The singer is good though.

That was much better than I expected, especially the singing. And surprisingly true to the original considering their propensity for technical wizardry/wankery. Good job, Allagaeon.

What? They didn't even use the harsh vocals that you hate so much.

Check out the original, it's a classic.

So, for me, Ajattara gets good when they get the lowest ratings on RYM...Their first 3, the "highest" rated (Not exactly highly rated), besides a couple of songs, I don't seem to have found very interesting.

That's what I think about Whitechapel, with the exception of their third album.

Someone recommended I listen to Spectral Voice today. They're a death/doom band from Colorodo. Really impressed, actually.

Their ep "Necrotic Doom" was great. Here's them live.

Carcass and Deafheaven are touring together. Weird but creative choice. I'm definitely thinking about going, they'll be just an hour or so from where I live now.

A friend of mine introduced me to Agalloch today with The Mantle. Seems pretty good, too bad they split earlier this year.

That's a nice and diverse combo, that show should be worth the effort.

90% of thrash metal is dull.
1% are the classics
1% are bands like Evile and Havok
2% are the unsung thrash titans
2% are not thrash bands but have quality thrash albums
3% are thrashaholics
1% are fucking godly

is this what you mean?
