Anyone here heard of Dystopia Nå!? They're a Norwegian post-black metal band with influences from all over the place, and their new album is great. Sometimes they take the influence a bit too far (I'm pretty sure they just directly ripped off a Pink Floyd riff in one of their songs), but overall a very good and underrated band.

Here's the opening track from their new album. It's one of those albums where it's best to consume the whole thing at once, but the songs are capable of standing by themselves as well.

So I was going through Xytras' remix of Passage and realized several of the songs weren't on Passage so I did some digging and holy shit.
I'm back for a bit

Sadly, your band isn't mine, but if they stopped playing pure thrash metal and switched to a tough guy version of Motley Crue, they could sell like they're Metallica! Meanwhile Tuska Open Air has revealed few artists.

Ghost, Testament, Behemoth, Katatonia, Lordi, Stam1na, Diablo, Primordial, Tsjuder, Cattle Decapitation, Havok, Myrkur and Delain.

Testament and Tsjuder are worth going to. Lordi and Stam1na are good but I wouldn't go just for them. I've never listened to Havok and I've never heard of Delain. The rest are shit.

Uh, no. Behemoth and Cattle Decapitation are fucking awesome.

Delain BTW are okay, imagine something along the lines of Within Temptation and you've got Delain. They're pretty meh, when they were playing with Nightwish and Sabaton they were pretty lackluster. Performance wasn't bad but wasn't too memorable either.

There's a few bands there I certainly would like to see. I read that s Tulsa Open Air and got excited because there was finally a festival worth attending in my state, then I reread it.

In what world is Myrkur shit?

In a world that doesn't go "zomg different is instant god-tier". There's literally nothing special in Myrkur musically.
It goes basically like this:

Person 1: *plays Myrkur*
Person 2: "meh"
Person 1: "It's a one-woman-band and the woman is a model and pop musician"
Person 2: "This is awesome!!!"

Which makes me wonder why did you question my opinion on Myrkur in the first place :p

Though I gotta admit that "nothing special" was rather poor choice of words... more like it has nothing of value to me, given how much I despise avantgarbage/experimental which is ALL about being speshul.

Fuck me, I swore I'm not going to order any albums until my next payday, but here we go again. Started delving into my backlog, picked Tempo of the Damned. The first song was virtually perfect thrash metal song, I just HAD to order the album. Yes, just for that one song, I didn't even finish the album before ordering. Currently at third song to be honest.
