I legitimately feel sorry for you.

Don't, you've got your own lack of taste to feel sorry about.

Yeah. That whole video was just tremolo picking the open E.

The best string to tremolo. Honestly Kerry King's best solo is the second solo on War Ensemble. Then again Jeff Hannemann is overrated as well.

You know, I'm always accepting of bands changing, but I literally, no matter what band, even if I typically love the band, review it on an album by album basis. So seeing people loyally worshiping a band no matter what shit they throw out, forever, always bothers me for some reason. Like it's okay to admit your favorite band has gone to shit.

Sure, people can perfectly legitimately like something, too. They can like it. Whatever, But sometimes it feels so forced like they like it solely because it's In Flames.

This is why bands can do the same thing forever and still have followers for some reason. I hate band loyalty. I hate almost anything loyalty.

That being said, I will look forward to every Sigur Ros album that comes out forever probably, but I expect to one day be disappointed (I really have yet, not entirely)

Say what y'all will, but a lot of these riffs are gold-standard metal classics. His style does get repetitive though.

In Flames have always been a shitty pop band. Even Clayman and Whoracle.

If by "pop" you just mean that they had catchy melodies, then sure. Their melodic sensibility is what made them great.

And I feel they still had that spark all the way to A Sense of Purpose.

Right, because memorable melodies just aren't trve.

(Melodic songwriting =/= Pop)

I'm so done with this thread. No, really. I'm done. :p
