Brandon Small announced the end of Dethklok due to Adult Swim's cancellation of Metalocalypse despite the efforts of the "Metalocalypse Now" campaign.

I'd love to do it that way but then a small voice in my head would say "That's not top 100, that's a best of 100 bands!" even though I think more bands is better than more albums from fewer bands.
Like on my list, spots 16-22 are all ImpNaz. It looks rather... fanboyish.

Oh, Cosumar...
Anyway I will never do top 100 because my top 100 favorite artists list kept changing to the point where I was getting headaches from it. Never going past 50.
Oh and I might be the only one here who ISN'T that big a fan of Metalocalypse or Dethklok's music.

The New Sea Territory wrote:I lowered it to 50 because I didn't want to end up posting entire discographies of good bands, or just posting the obvious second wave albums. The list is of albums that I've really enjoyed and regularly listen to, not the definitive "best", "essential" or "most influential" black metal albums of all time. It also spans a bunch of different subgenres and fusion genres.
