They really need to cut the political rubbish from the show, doctor who isn't supposed to be some deep and meaningful educational show that challenges your beliefs or whatever, it's supposed to be a show about a guy in a blue box who travels in time and space.

I've watched every episode of the new series, and the only reason I haven't watched the classic series is because the bbc hasn't re-issued them with audio description like they said they were going to do several times.
However, I've read a lot of the novelisations and listened to many of the big finish audio adventures featuring classic doctors. My doctor who audio collection (every big finish, every new series with AD, every audio book) is over 200 gb.

I think I've watched quite a bit.

When someone complains about political messages in media, they are never saying that they do not want politics on media or that politics never used to be in media. They are simply taking issue with the particular message being communicated or the way in which it is being communicated.

Yes, that one. I hated it. Boring, overly political, turned UNIT into moutbreathing dumbasses, that overly long speech, the complete ignoring of the logistics involved with dumping an entire species on a planet already in a resource strain. It was terrible.

I think they just tried to do way too much with her and i think kind of lost it near the end

Did the last series pick up at all? I watched the first few and I thought they were generally well written in terms of emotional depth, drama, overarching plot (although the Doc felt off, very nicey-nice mumsy primary school teacher)...but it just wasn't fun and in the end I stopped bothering to watch.
