It Takes You Away was definitely my favourite episode of the series so far, but still contained some very odd creative decisions
like the inclusion of Ribbons and the flesh moths, which added nothing to the plot. The antezone should have been cut entirely to give more time to the weird parallel universe stuff. Also the frog puppet was hilariously shit and played really badly by Sharon D. Clarke

Better. Still a bit clunky, but a neat idea.
This series has been very bad about it's exposition. That long-winded ramble about the soli-thing and the Doctor's gran could have been cut down to "it's some kind of dimension that traps people by impersonating their loved ones." No need for all that The number of times companions point things out like "look, Doctor, there's a light over there" is ridiculous too. Just show us the light!

The antizone did serve the purpose of putting Ryan in danger, and perhaps more generally explaining why they couldn't just visit the alternate dimension while living in the real world. I agree that they spent way too long there, though, and Discount Gollum was pointless.

I like how with each passing episode there are less comments on this feed. Anyway the episode wasn't too bad a few plot holes with Ryan inside that the buffer place yet he somehow knew everything about it. Honestly if they hadn't said all new monsters I might have guessed they were in Omega's antimatter universe. Interested to see Mark Addy in the next episode still expecting the return of the Stenza. On the Pearl Mackie discussion I think she was okay she could have been good if she didn't keep making the same repeated lines every episode.
Merry Christmas!

How the hell did this happen?
Well...we don't actually know. Sure, there's factbooks and stuff, but they don't really matter because the owner of this account is a lazy, unproductive, indecisive loser who may or may not have a thing for half human hybrids, big mechs and even bigger ships.
Is it a reunited Yugoslavia in the 21st century? Is a rebel colony world in the far future? Who knows, who cares?
New Yugoslavia just is.

Was a good episode, quite liked it.

I like the performances, especially from Hanna, thought she did a good job. Graham had some good scenes with Not-Grace which was sad. The idea of a conscious universe wanting to be with the main universe but cant because it would kill both was a cool idea i thought (though the explanation of it was very rambly and exposition heavy), though the frog scene at the end was silly looking and i just laughed with my brother at it. It was fucking stupid looking haha

Flesh moths were cool but didnt do much, neither did that ribbons dude who felt kind of useless though i liked the idea of the Antizone.

Yeah it was a good episode, i enjoyed it.

Looking forward to the next episode with BOBBY B

I thought the woman was the doctors wife they did mention the doctor had a wife and family in "the doctors daughter" series 4 episode 6 I think also in "the end of time part two" when Wilf asks who she was the doctor looks at Donna so that may or may not be a hint (bear in mind it was Donna's wedding at the time too).
