Nice futuristic, action-packed mystery story, a real shift from the more grounded pseudo-historical family story last week.

Good subversion in making the villain a luddite worker rather than the corporate boss or the AI Computer.

Fun yet uncanny designs for the robots, remind me a bit of smilers from series 5.

Mixed feelings. Too many characters as always. Some wooden acting, particularly from Ryan, and I think probably some stilted dialogue too. Lee Mack, interestingly, was playing the character of Lee Mack.
Thought the ending was very good, though. Still a bit heavy-handed, but I'm glad it didn't take the lazy option of making the exec the villain.

Seeing Yaz look through the one way mirror in that cell reminded me that we've seen very little policewomanny behaviour from her.
She might as well just be some random office worker.

Another good episode, all-in-all. Decent bantz from Lee Mack, as expected. Good plot, nice set of twists. Kira was so nice, it was depressing to figure out she'd be the next missing/dead person early on.

Also, cue Ameri complaining about the BBC pushing anti-automation messages.

I'd say more sports direct I mean Ryan almost said it as well. Feel sorry for Kira that computer certainly didn't take the moral high ground this episode.

I don't know about anyone else but I reckon the Doctor will be accused of being a witch also I wonder if James I will know of the doctor as Elizabeth I hated the doctor later on and James I came after her. I'm glad they haven't gone crazy nostalgia this series like in the last few, it's nice to see physic paper again, liked the fez and unicorn and the wasp reference. Also noticed it was a follow up of "oxygen" episode last series.

The Witchfinders was a Good Episode, but not as good as last week

Interesting that they had a female villain for a change

The Moreax Mud zombies were pretty well done

Good use of the historical setting

And good use of a totally not camp James I. I'm surprised he didn't know of the doctor after all he was after Elizabeth I and she wasn't a fan of the doctor.

Well because the doctor was an enemy of Elizabeth I and it would make sense before she died to tell her successor about some enemies like that. Like Victoria did when founding Torchwood.

When Liz died there was no clear successor. There was quite a bit of a brouhaha before Parliament decided to ask James to come down from Scotland.

I thought they basically knew he would be the successor I admit my Tudor-Stuart history isn't brilliant but when they knew she was dying I thought he was the first in line as Elizabeth had no direct successors.

That's untrue. Elizabeth's ministers had been in contact with James for some time prior to her death in order to prepare for his accession, which was declared the same day as Elizabeth's death. Elizabeth herself was definitely aware that he would succeed her.

Opening was tense and atmospheric, totally devolved into constant exposition and a stand off with forgettable monsters at the end. Alan Cumming was really good as James I though.

Also 13 is so reckless and slow witted it would be almost criminal for them not to do a full on TV adaptation of Creatures of Beauty with her in at some point. She'd fit the Doctor's role in that story even better than the 5th Doctor already does.

Watching the current episode right now, but posting because I watched the last two episodes today as well (I'd fallen behind), the Demons of the Punjab is my favorite episode of series 11 now, and I absolutely love the Thijarians, my heart hurt for the task they've set before themselves.

Kerblam! was a good episode too, maybe I'll explode the next time I pop bubble wrap, or perhaps I won't.
