A Christmas Carol was quite good, and Husbands of River Song is one of my favourite episodes period.
Time of the Doctor is technically a Christmas episode, and that was awesome.
Also really enjoyed Twice Upon a Time

The Christmas Invasion's a nothing episode, The Runaway Bride's kind of campy fun but nothing like as good as the later Donna episodes, The Waters of Mars is brilliant but also isn't a Christmas special, The End of Time is shit except for Bernard Cribbins, The Snowmen's rubbish and wastes both Ian McKellen and Richard E Grant, Time of the Doctor was overlong overindulgent boring fanwank, The Return of Doctor Mysterio is just stupid, and Twice upon a Time is a hateful piece of dreck that's an insult to both the character of the First Doctor and the excellent performances of David Bradley and Mark Gatiss. The only good Christmas specials are the Big Finish plays The One Doctor and The Chimes of Midnight. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without one of Mrs Baddeley's plum puddings...

Anyway, the only Christmas special I remember disliking is that nonsense Narnia one with Alexander Armstrong and Bill Bailey. Some of them were forgettable, I guess (what was that one with the hot air balloon even about?).

David Morrissey thought he was the Doctor but wasn't, which was a shame because I like David Morrissey. Also the Cybermen used workhouse labour to build a Cyberman mecha.

That was a solid episode i liked it. One of the best of the season for me.

Good performances, i liked the side characters too, rip Dan he was good, rip Kyra she was nice, charlie's actor did a good job too. Plot i thought was fine too, was thinking it was going to be the same old nefarious corporation angle or the AI system was insane, but nope we got a hardcore anti-automation guy fucking with things and the system was calling for help. Nice change.

ALSO EXPLODING FUCKING BUBBLEWRAP. Didnt see that coming. Robots were freaky as fuck, guess they were meant to be but looked good too.

Yeah i had no real issues honestly. Maybe they could have hinted at charlie being the bad guy a bit more, maybe make him seem a bit more off.

Nice futuristic, action-packed mystery story, a real shift from the more grounded pseudo-historical family story last week.

Good subversion in making the villain a luddite worker rather than the corporate boss or the AI Computer.

Fun yet uncanny designs for the robots, remind me a bit of smilers from series 5.

Production design and direction were top notch, some of the best this series. Everything looked great. The story wasn't anything new and the messaging got a bit muddled, but it basically worked. The best generic Doctor Who story of the series so far. 3.5/5
