Scones are, overall, denser and more crumbly whereas biscuits are lighter, fluffy, and flaky. Happily, you can have either with jam, but biscuits are often the sort of thing you cut in half and put, say, a fried egg and bacon or ham on, which I haven't really seen done with scones.
Yeah you dont really do that with scones, at least from my experience, just have some butter or jam in it.
