Got around to seeing the latest episode this morning. It's another great one. Not a single disappointment so far this season.

I'm rather surprised they left The Doctor still blind. I'm assuming that will be the case until he starts to regenerate.

Did anyone else catch the Star Trek reference?

Another solid episode, though I do think it might be the weakest so far (if you take away that ending). Can't wait for next week.

I agree, great episode.
I wouldn't be surprised if him being blind is what leads to him regenerating.

Yeah, I caught it.

Not sure if this counts as a spoiler, but

Michelle Gomez has announced that she's leaving Doctor Who along with Capaldi. Will we perhaps see two regenerations this season?

Another great episode. I'm actually wondering whether we'll get a shit one at some point.

The fluid link is yet another throwback to the First Doctor. I honestly think we'll see Susan in this series, probably in the regeneration episode, along with whoever's in the vault.

And then, Missy in the next episode. Does that mean we won't get a double Master episode?

Shame, she's been great in the role. A nice arch-villain for Capaldi. One can only hope the next Master/Mistress does as well.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but Torchwood Season 5 has been announced...!

I enjoyed Extremis, but consider it not as good as some of the previous episodes.

We Finally Saw Missy Again!

Recently got into Doctor Who, like I really love it and regret not watching it before now - except for a handful of episodes over the years.

Still quite confused about some - most - of the canon and such, but from my understanding Doctor Who is a complex thing.

Canon became a colossal clusterfuck during the reboot series. I try not to think about it.

I just noticed that, but a very good question. Heck, I'm rewatching it right now as I wait for the new episode in less than an hour.

Well, at least we now know (some of) the contents of the vault. Which leads to wonder, where does John Simm fit into this? I was waiting for the classic Moffatt big plot misdirection, but no, not yet.

Another strong episode, Twelve, Bill, and Nardole make for a fun TARDIS team.

My only complaint was that it was Missy in the vault. Although I was hoping and predicting it was John Simm Master, I was also thinking it could be Missy. It was very predictable, but I have to admit I did like the reveal of the events leading up to it.

Another Star Trek reference, and a Mario reference.

Oh, and was that Max from Humans as the leader of the execution planet? I thought I recognized him.

Oh, how I've been waiting.

*Deep breath*

THAT EPISODE SUCKED!

Oh, it has been too long since I got rag on this show. And this dreck deserves it. Typical Moffat. Heavy-handed, pretentious, totally bereft of any sense of fun or joy, subtle as a cow mallet to the skull and completely fucking boring to boot. And the kicker of
NONE OF IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
I am both annoyed at how bad it was, and overjoyed I get to flex my bitching skills. Feels good.

On balance Extremis was probably my favourite episode of the series so far. Hopefully the next two parts of the story measure up.
