So there is not much going around about it in regards to news articles (atleast ones that dont just talk about how annoyed some fans are over it) but apparently someone leaked some scenes from the first episode of the upcoming season online, and the BBC is going to court to identify the leaker.

Well who ever it was is in for a lot of fun.

I’d assumed it was a controlled leak. Seems an excessive reaction were that the case, so it must have been otherwise.

What I've heard — and what makes sense to me — is that they had prepared to show the clip at Comic-Con, and so the reaction is less about the amount that was leaked and more the fact that now a significant portion of the Comic-Con audience will have already seen the big teaser that they'll be wanting to really hype up.

Nah, the leak was of a fair bit of footage from one of the episodes, probably intended to be shone at Comic-Con. This looks more like specially-shot footage.

I am hungry for pizza now though.

The Eleventh Hour and Deep Breath are my two favourite intro episodes, but I went with Eleventh hour in the end. It's just a very well done episode.

Also, that teaser left me wanting more. I find myself thoroughly teased.

49. Master by Joseph Lidster - An assassin sits on a rooftop, waiting for his moment. While he waits for his target to approach, a stranger tells him a story. The intelligent and kind but horribly disfigured Dr. John Smith has resided on the planet Perfugium for ten years. He has no memory of his life before his arrival, but is nonetheless beloved by the people there. However, an informal dinner party to celebrate the anniversary of his appearance is rather spoiled by the strange behaviour of the guests, and the sudden intrusion of The Doctor. This is an intimate and dark examination of the nature of evil through the Doctor/Master conflict, although the Master himself is sadly absent for much of the runtime. There's not much in the way of action either, and certain revelations are necessarily obvious to the audience, but there's a fair degree of tension nonetheless. Sylvester McCoy and Geoffrey Beevers are both excellent in their roles. 7/10
