Which Halloween movie is the best? The original one is probably my favourite.

Here's the cinemassacre reviews of all the films

Bought some halloweeny stuff at the MCM Comic con. Got myself a Monster High freakiest stein voodoo doll keyring. Even if I didn't like monster high, I would have bought it anyway, because it looks so funny! :) had to get it instead of TNBC or Corpse Bride ones. "Sigh" :( Still, I got my birthday and the local show masters film & comic con, so I can get one of them then.

Went to sainsbury's today, bought Frankenstein's cat and Corpse bride DVDs (£3 each), 2 Zomlings and a Lego Monster Minifigure. They had some horror movie DVDS for adults/older audiences that I would have got (e.g. Jaws, The Cabin In The Woods), and some halloween music albums, a ghost marshmallow biscuit and a bumper-pack of monster high magazine! Darn it Sainbury's, why have you got to have so much halloween stuff (although I can probably find most of those things at other shops)?!?!?!

Also, a Lot of the music albums had the Dr who theme as one of the songs.

Some guy told me that my costume (the Burger King) was more funny than scary and I should dress up as a crazed mask wearing murderer like those from Hotline Miami. If only he remembered that the rate of people dying to obesity in the first world was much higher than that of murders, for the real killers are the ones stuffing your hearts with cholesterol.

Saw some Laika DVDs at the shops today. Only Laika film I've seen is the Boxtrolls. I enjoyed it. I'll try to get Coraline and Paranorman on DVD.
The only Tim Burton film I've seen Start to finish is TNBC (I've seen parts of Big fish and Beetlejuice) I enjoyed that. Any films by him you recommend? Edit: I've seen corpse bride now, and I enjoyed it and both laika and burton worked on it.

I'm personally disappointed about some of the films Burton didn't make. Monsterpocalypse and Dinosaurs Attack would have been interesting to say the least. That's not to say I didn't enjoy Pacific Rim & Jurassic Park, I think they're good movies. I guess you can't have everything. :( Maybe they'll be made in the future as homages to those movies.

I was wondering, what would a Burtonesque Film Noir be like? Both are influenced by German Expressionism, so I was wondering how it could work. It would probably be similar to Grim Fandango.

You're British? Yay! Me too! It seems, to me at least, that halloween is going to be very big in the UK this year. And we do get most of what the americans get, AFAIK. Theme parks,Haunted Farms, haunted hayrides, scary movies, and trick-or-treaters/halloween costumes.
Minor Word correction: Balmy is a word, but I think you probably meant barmy.

I think it's well overdue time that people appreciate the Britishness of Halloween. I mean, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein, The invisible man and Dracula(arguably, the author was Irish but the original publisher's were british) were all originally British novels, Mona the Vampire was a British book series, the universal Frankenstein and mummy were portrayed by an english actor, there are the Hammer Horror films, Monster In My Pocket was more popular here, We had the Trapdoor, We had zombie hotel and the Mona The Vampire Cartoons years before they aired in america, it has its origins in british celtic mythology (and Irish Catholicism), and the UK is generally more secular than the US. It seems perfect for us!

Extra Credits finally finished their mini-series on "the trinity of terror"! Here's the first and here's the 2nd

I actually made the Easter one first as I was planning on making this nation before Easter, but some stuff happened during that time and I made the nation too late to use the flag. I've seen your gallery too and I just wanna know what program you use. They are really good flags btw.
