I'm really considering going as Schrodinger's Cat this year. I have the cat ears and tail, and I have quite a few boxes to spare. Now what I need is a bio-hazard sticker to put on the box and presto!

Your idea got me thinking. Maybe with the help of your friends you can play a prank on people, all you really need is a large enough box that you can hide in comfortably (or do it in a closet or something). You just wait for people to check if you were dead or not (just like in the experiment). You could fake being "dead" and then jump scare them, because spookyness is the aim of the game in Halloween.

That's something I never did when a little girl (not a tradition in Spain). It's kind of cute to see the trick-or-treaters around with their little costumes, candy bags and all. Last Halloween was too cold and I don't think there were any kids around doing the rounds. Most people in the neighborhood are elderly and I don't think many actually give candy.

In a weird way I sort of appreciate how the artist put in effort all the details that make it "realistic" so the unsettling factor of the image is much higher.

Top 10 Halloween Symbols and their meanings

Inspired by this and this and this and this. Prehistoric animals are often treated as Monsters or Mythical creatures in popular culture, but rarely has this overlapped with halloween. I understand that prehistoric animals are just that, animals, but plenty of kids/people dress up as animals for halloween, and I think some of them would make good mascots. If you have any suggestions/improvements, please mention them. This list is just meant to be "a" top ten, not "the" top ten.

10.Estemmenosuchus- ah, Estemmenosuchus. I've got to include some therapsids (in the traditional) and mammals, because they're more scary because they're more familiar. Also, the costumes will probably be easier to make

Just look at the skull, there';s got to be something interesting. I quite like the depiction in one of Dougal Dixon's Prehistoric World: Early Life, although that one just looks crazy/weird (still halloweeny). If I find that book and illustration again, I'll make a halloween costume out of it

9.Hesperornis- Hesperornis falls into the animal uncanny valley, being a bird with teeth and (possibly) strange looking feet. Even more neutral depictions can be creepy (look at the skull), and they'd make a perfect addition to vultures, ravens and owls as halloween birds. As for the costume side, it's a bit of a stretch, I see them more as decorations, but you never know. I can see them being part of other costumes though, like maybe some sort of time travelling/dinosaur pirate riding a hesperornis (admit it, this is probably one of the best halloween costume ideas ever.)
8.Azhdarchidae-big flyers that hunted on the ground for small animals, or big ones, are definitely scary/cool/scary-cool animals, and perfect halloween mascots. The way the moved around the ground must have looked so weird. Again, maybe harder to see as costumes, but there are already pterosaur costumes anyway, so with a slightly higher head/long neck with the head poking out before pterosaur head, it could work.
7.Anomalocaris-At half a metre to 1.8m long, living in an era when most animals were a few inches long this animal was the Godzilla of it's day. Even today, it's pretty a pretty big invertebrate anyway and looks pretty weird in most depictions, with its compound eyes on stalks. Just look at it! It's actually pretty easy to see a costume of this, at least IMO. Just modify the mouth to be a face/head hole, have the actual head on the back of that and have spines sticking out at the side, and a tail fan
6.Arthropleura- Another big creepy crawly, I see this more as a decoration. A huge centipede/millipede, this is bound to look a little creepy, and would make for great life-size halloween decorations. The costume would probably be similar to the Anomalocaris costume.

So that's it for part 1! I'll start work on part 2, and suggestions and improvements are welcome!
