I liked RP-ing Ashe in game as commander of a royal army sent to out to deal with the Vastayah rebellion during the Xayah released era. I must have played that match up a lot of times.

How do you reckon Ashe vs Aphelios would go? Probably he’d be overloaded with new weapons but it’s something that can situationally be overcome.

What’s a good storyline for Ashe vs Aphelios + Senna?

the distance from Hong Kong to North America is actually shorter than the distance to Paris???? (did I get that right)? Which means that technically, ping would still only be at 200 right?

I've tried Japan server, Taiwan server, OCE, and NA.

My observations in the lower eloes (obviously over-generalising):

OCE is this strange server where its over-saturated with smurfs and for some reason over half the games are decided in the beginning by whichever team invades the JG in some goofy fiesta fight that honestly shouldn't even have happened. They are big on half-serious JG invades that decide or heavily swing games.

JP and TW have these brutal and highly focused tower rotations (less throwy). Master Yi is disproportionately over-popular and over-used by smurfers. They LOVE early game fiestas in the JG skirmish (but unlike in OCE, these happen in the middle of the game and not at the beginning for no reason). Everyone wants to play early game champs that stomp from the start, there's no patience for late game scalers. NO CHATTING for 80%+ of games ("the Silent Servers," we're here to play, that's it).

NA: the most experimental server where people will actually try things like Thresh + Blitz botlane and Camille mid lane. One of the most over-chatty servers I have ever seen.

I’m playing party games with my brother and his American friends again

We’re all apparently “Iron/Bronze” in Flexed somehow (but earning 70+ LPs per win)

We’re gonna try to climb as a party

I’ve been assigned as the Top laner (so I’ll mostly be going Maokai and Vladimir top) and the occasional supp (Naut)

My brother plays assassins and Yasuo in the mid (yes very toxic champs) so it’ll be his job to smash the other laner into the ground

My job is easy in that I’ll mostly farm safely, build up a bunch of tank items, and then provide the frontline later

Since right now people think the tank meta is “dead”... they’re usually in for a nasty surprise late game when Mao starts damage tanking and cc’ing everything

Maokai is a lot better in party games than in solo I find

The heal can throw a lot of people off, especially when they don't understand that casting spells against him reduces it's cooldown.

I think people think he’s “boring” to play

He’s also very heavily team reliant (you can lose in 20 mins just based on the rest of your team)

However, a Maokai running around with a completed Sunfire Cape, Merc Treads/Ninja Tabis and a Spectral Cowl impacting teamfights...

If you can get to that point and your team is not yet dead, he’s going to shake the game up
