When playing with my brother's American friends, ADC was always heavily contested (strange because its not a particularly powerful role right now?).

In fact, Top is what's unpopular with them, and since I play "everything" that's what I end up playing most in Group Games.

I just run top lane Vladimir and farm up while they fiesta 4 v 4 on the other side.

It's unfortunate that I haven't been able to play with them for some time, every since my brother quit the game, the group has dispersed (many others quit or started playing with other circles of people).

In fact, I look back 2 years and I think almost everyone IRL has left the game, some have come back but the spirit of combat camaraderie ("YES let's log in and play, Disc Disc... trading strategic tips and being completely immersed in the battles for sometimes as long as 5+ hours is just gone). So sad...

Whenever I'm encouraged by a group to start an activity (whether its League of anything else), I always stick to it until everyone else is nearly all gone. I very very reluctantly take up new activities but when I do, I often stay around a LONG TIME.

Ranked and Work also just do not mix (imo).

There's this person I know from Google and ALL HE DOES (as soon as he's off the clock) is grind Ranked game after Ranked game after Ranked game. And on most days, the LP doesn't move much.

I'm like... "Dude how do you do this???? How do you have energy levels for this after a day of shenanigans????"

My main account MMR Is screwed up. Last time I played Ranked I lose 10 LP per loss but gain 22 LP if I win. However, all the players in the game had Plat and Diamond frames and IT WAS NOT FUN.

I literally can't even participate in any of the team fights because things just happen way too fast so all I do is provide long range CC and/or rotate safely to clear waves (for map control).

I played for 1 weekend to see if I could get the MMR re-adjusted correctly but it was the most tilting thing ever. The LP doesn't move, I'd lose 2-3 games and then win 1 match at the "inflated elo" (I've never climbed higher than G5) but somehow it balances out because the LP gains/losses kept adjusting (I got 33 LP for a clutch win its ridiculous).

I was like:

"Screw this Rito. If you're going to force me to play Ranked at Plat level then the least you could do is give me a Plat rank and not a Silver I rank. I could play another 30+ games for you to re-adjust my hidden MMR but why... WHYYYYYYY... Also, games at this elo doesn't even feel like League anymore because clearly my mechanical level and game awareness is not there...""

I looked at the clock and I realized that this wasn't going to work.

MAYBE after another 10+ games the elo would re-adjust and I could then get to the Gold border but come now.

but I'm telling you... THE TIME BUDGET

Switched from Twitch to playing/spamming Jinx now (more options in laning phase).

Getting very mixed results on the battlefield.

I'm able to stay even or ahead in lane (getting the 2 item spike every game)... however, damage output is very low/inconsistent and I need to work on it.

I love the mid game Triples and the long range Ult executes if things are calculated correctly though.

So a standard Senna playstyle seems to have caught on. Fleet Footwork in mid lane. It makes her healing super busted.

Jinx though... I’m massively massively impressed with the champion... I feel these past few days, she’s exhibited carry power/potential that feels on par/greater than Vladimir (she’s now number 1-2 in the whole “army”)

For top lane I think I need a new “enforcer”...

Debating between Darius, Renekton or Tryndamere (leaning towards Darius although learning curve will be steep)

Played some 5 player party games with my American friends (massively boosting up the MMR) and just realised that my ADC is NOT up to par...

The fights are so fast, the enemy focus is so good, and I literally cannot keep up with the combat. My ADC farms, and then trails behind fights (or gets instantly blown up), damage output is abysmal and my only contribution is moving around and taking towers.

I was wondering if they were high ranked opponents but then... nope

Switched to playing Nautilus/Vladimir... IMMEDIATE battlefield contribution (all of a sudden, I CAN keep up with the fights and rack up good stats).

Apparently, I'm just a terrible AD player once the enemies get serious.

So... whether its destiny or not... I've embraced "fate" and gone back to being "the Vladimir" when playing these party games.

They said to me:

In fairness ADC is the role most dependent on your teammates. Particularly these days when damage output is so high and bursty.
Your team needs to be able to mitigate or prevent their focus for you to be able to get your damage in.

It’s why carries like Kaisa and Xayah are so high priority, cause they’ve got a lot of self peel and survivability inherent in their kit.

my performance as mid vs ADC is WORLDS apart; I literally feel like I do nothing as ADC now

I seriously would perform better as a Vladimir/Annie bot lane than as an ADC... that's how bad my ADC is.

It would actually benefit my team MORE if I went Vladimir bot lane even though ADC marksmen are meta and optimised for the role.

It's honestly just so frustrating how 1-2 of Ekko, Jarvan, Nunu, Nocturne, Yi, Rengar etc are always picked and you just KNOW (if the elo is high enough) that they're going to flank and attack you (Flash on you too) and then blow you up in 1-2 seconds no matter how many items you have.

Literally, if I were to play for my Life (I die if I lose) and they made me go bot I'd have a better chance to win as a Vladimir bot laner.

It's only out of symbolic respect for the meta that I even try to practice Marksmen now but my patience is waning lol

Tbf, 2020 is like, 5 weeks away.

They're doing Volibear at the same time, so I'm looking forward to both. I've found them a lot of fun when playing.

By the way, is Senna getting nerfed?

(Ironically I'm waiting for her to be nerfed before I start playing her... I don't like learning champs when they are "OP" only for them to be later nerfed, its what happened with Morde)

It's passive now is the issue. You just buy the Relic Shield. No Ruby Crystal and such for that extra health I need for my tanks. And now it takes 1000 fucking gold before the full item kicks in.

It's passive now is the issue. You just buy the Relic Shield. No Ruby Crystal and such for that extra health I need for my tanks. And now it takes 1000 fucking gold before the full item kicks in.

I tried it yesterday on Naut, it felt clunkier

The thing is, I couldn’t get it to tier 3 until much later in the game because once out if lane, people often don’t let me execute lol

But does this mean support builds are even cheaper on paper?

Exactly. Like on a good day, I usually had my support item kicked in before 20. Playing Leona the other day and I didn't finish til over 30 minutes in.

But does this mean support builds are even cheaper on paper?

Cheaper, yes. Better, no.
