Played a bunch of Ranked games when I got home (8 games back to back to close off the Ranked Placements). I only played Jhin ADC (with MF as back up).
They placed me in Silver II.
The games for some reason were BROKENLY hard. All my team mates for some reason had Gold and Plat frames.
Why would I be playing against such opponents in Placements? I don't understand (if they were going to place me in SII shouldn't there be NO Plat frame opponents?)...
...
Also, what is with the state of the meta right now?
I got ADC every single time because apparently no one wanted to play it. And after 3 games I could see why...

Talon, Sion, Kennen, Leona, Kayn (WHAT THE HELL IS THIS???? There's NOWHERE to hide!)

Are all games in Ranked like this now or is this just how the "gold frames" and "plat frames" play?
Most of these games the mid game consisted almost 100% a bunch of bruisers like Riven/Nautilus/Jax etc duking it out on the front line with a couple of 1 shot divers like Noc/Master Yi etc. There was very little room for Jhin to do anything except the occasional executes and some situational long range CC.
No artillery, no standard archer ADCs... none of that... just BRUTE FORCE BRAWL
I was hoping to join in, and elegantly kite the ennemy team but that was basically not an option in 9/10 of the games with these types of players and picks. I was basically a Jhin CC support/overglorified wave clearer...
In almost all of these games, I felt like I was 99% shooting at the enemy minions (only occasionally executing or CC-ing the enemy)...
because once the fight started 4-5 players would be on these super divy characters and run straight at me so I had to play way way way back...
