I got a solid amount of kills from just ulting Warwick and trynd when they go in. I also got a great kill when someone was bush hiding and a had ulted Warwick for some reason and Warwick went close enough to the bush for the ult to kill the bush hider

If you can get past "laning phase" I believe she has the highest winrate of any top lane champion by a large margin.

Why is she so good? Her passive mostly

Innate: Upon spending 1, 6, 11, and 16 skill points, Kayle ascends into a new form, gaining additional bonuses.
Zealous


Zealous (1): Kayle's basic attacks against non-structures grant 6% bonus attack speed for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times for a maximum of 30% bonus attack speed. At maximum stacks, Kayle becomes Exalted, gaining 15% bonus movement speed when moving toward enemies.

Aflame (6): While Exalted, Kayle's basic attacks against non-structures additionally launch a wave of fire in the target's direction, dealing 10 − 30 (based on Starfire Spellblade's Rank) (+ 10% AD) (+ 20% AP) Ability power magic damage to enemies hit. The waves can critically strike for 100% (+ Infinity Edge item 25%) (+ The Thinking Manatee profileicon 25%) bonus magic damage.

Arisen (11): Kayle becomes a ranged champion with 550 attack range. Additionally, Zealous's bonus attack speed is increased to 10% bonus attack speed per stack, for a maximum of 50% bonus attack speed.

Transcendent (16): Zealous is permanently set to maximum stacks. Additionally, Aflame's fiery waves now deal Hybrid penetration true damage instead.

I've heard some people can cheese it by using Kleptomancy to keep her gold income up, but she's very easily punished. And Veigar's a bitch.

I’d say it’s at least more fun. I didn’t play the old kayle enough to know, but I do like ranged mode not being an activateable because I always forgot to turn it on during fights.
The new e is also probably my favorite spell on her.

There’s no proof for this but I think it’s a tad TOO coincidental.

This in addition to what a previous poster wrote pointing out how the model gives off a Queen Cersei vibe...

To me that’s proof enough that this is a Cersei reference or at least that Riot calculated this in.

I've just realised that a well-played Xerath can wreck my entire mid lane champion pool if the JG won't help me.

From what I've seen, a good Xerath player will generally do this. Farm up to Lost Chapter. Come back and then keep pushing the minions (NO ONE can out-shove him because a single Q + W insta-clears). When I have no minions and he has a wall of them coming up (which will happen over and over because his wave push is ridiculous) he will start firing his Qs at me to whittle me down; if I retaliate I get minion-blasted.

Its super annoying how you can dodge 2 Qs and it won't matter because the thing basically no cooldown/casting cost because of the mana regen passive.

If he gets a Luddens and you have not killed him more than once, its going to be a very very very painful game. He's going to poke the literal hell out of your entire team with the Q max range strikes from hidden vision. Even if you can dodge it, your team won't be able to.

OUCH

Also, level 16 Xerath has the best pick in the game.

He will Press R if he sees you from super far away, like half a map away (and you won't realise you are being targeted) and then your health will disappear because he's dumping his R shots on you. You'll try to dodge but it will probably be too late (at full AP he can kill you with 3 shots from the Ult if not less).

Then you lose.

Did you know his stun ball increases its duration with distance traveled? Have you thought of going nuts on him close range? Then again, a good Xerath player knows his/her counters ad will probably shift playstyle accordingly.

The strange thing is I can usually kill him once (but not more than once somehow).

I wonder if its worth W-ing into his face (maybe he'll be too slow to hit E from max range so I'll still get the damage off) as Leblanc but I'm worried he'll catch me mid flight

As a guy who plays Xerath a ton, I can tell you LeBlanc is his kryptonite. He's super weak to those diver champs. Especially if you botch his stun.

Because of skarner being free I decided to play him again. My first game back was with my brothers new account in a blind pick where, because of him being lvl 2, pretty much everyone was a massive ape. The Veigar in particular kinda followed zed around early game and we had only my brother as kayn bot. It took us probably about 10 min to get lane consensus. I think it was zed top, veigar mid, kayn and fiora bot. Because of the zed’s skill and my shot calling we managed to come back and win. I also 2v1d the ori and fiora at one point.

Adds a little counterplay, but shouldn't affect Skarner himself too much surely?
