Lot of general QoL buffs but not too much in the way of nerfs to the big Champs.
Also Jungle experience got gutted, along with the Baron buff, so its gonna be weird to see the pros have to adapt to a massive change in game pacing mid season.
This really should have been the preseason patch

Is Riot NOT going to do anything about Viktor?

He's SOOOO bad right now in mid lane. His early game is so bad that it feels like the team has to 4 vs 5 for 20 minutes of the game (Viktor joining a JG skirmish or counter-roaming bot? Don't make me laugh).

Not to mention so much of his damage is gated behind the enemy standing still or your team having coordinated CC so he can land his delayed damage effects.

I played about a month of Leblanc and then went back to Viktor and I am SHOCKED I used to be able to get anything done with this champion.

You need 400+ AP to offset the nerfs into his Q they've put on because "top Viktor was cancer." Not to mention Vladimir's Tides of Blood (which costs no mana and deals 100% AP ratio damage and is AOE) has continuous fire/spamability at 40% CDR while Viktor's Q now has significant interruption in between casts.

Are you kidding me?

They need to do something about him. Its no fun playing a farm simulator for 2-3 items for 20 mins while your team gets destroyed only to get a "good" late game.

So I've run into Sylas a few times in mid. He really can't do shit if his lane opponent is ranged. I just sat back and whittled him down with Malzahar's Void AIDS all game.

So uh swain is pretty good in ARURF

Well hot diddly damn. I get my Glorious Champion Capsule for hitting level 130, and out comes a shard for Sylas. And after disenchanting the Tahm Kench shard that came in there, I now own him. Woo hoo.

And my first three matches went...poorly. For various reason.

Game 1 cause I got counter-picked. Also my first time, so I didn't quite grasp his abilities yet. Didn't know you had to recast his E to Camille dash to him.

Game 2 went better for me...but the rest of the team decided to not show up, and spent all game feeding.

And game 3. He does not counter Darius. Lesson learned.

how long do you have to wait in between to get Chests on a new character?

I finally managed to get my first chest with Viktor (a 50 minute game loss though), at least I got the S.

I'm considering playing though my top 30 champions to get chests for the New Year

(I'm hoping to luck out on getting Program Leblanc, Mafia Twitch, Prestigious Leblanc on NA accounts)
