Do you get all the new runes (all the slots) with a fresh account or no? Or do you have to unlock them by levels as like before with masteries?

For me, I only have 2 pages on my JP account but I've memorised all the rune combinations for my 10+ most played champions. I just switch the contents of the slots from the two pages as they need to be super fast before champ select timer is up. From time to time I revamp and test new combinations.

No, you gotta unlock the various runes as you level up.

Tier 3 Quintessences: 300 BE each
Rune pages with IP: 1500 BE each
Rune pages with RP: 1 epic skin per 4 pages

Edit: I think they also said you had to win a single matchmade game on your account in question before a certain date to claim said rewards.

I had about six rune pages and a boatload of other stuff before the pre-season so I currently have over 70k blue essence.

Though the majority of that is because I actually saved up my essence over time. Glad it seemed to pay off now that it's replaced IP

I just walked into top lane as a Vladimir and got COMPLETELY ANNIHILATED by a Japanese Ignite Renekton armed with the new Thunderlords. The burst damage was absolutely beyond broken...

I walked in... within a few minutes he bursted me down (he must have gone full offence runes). Then he walked into our JG and murdered our Jungler too. 2-0. Then he just tower dived me over and over...

Late game... the whole team could not shut him down.

Gotta say, I love this new Kleptomaniac rune. Have been using it on Nasus and the results so far have been quite impressive. And if you get lucky you don't even need to buy control wards or anything, and the extra gold is great.

Why aren't more people playing with it?

But maybe the math works out in its favour? I dunno. Does it?

I'd imagine that the advantage is not that great. If it were, it would be a big nerf bat candidate (so I'd hesitate to get too invested in it).

Is Klepto Nasus better than Phage Nasus?

I can't stand it.

I find the consumables popping up unbelievably distracting. I don't like how Tear has to be stacked up (firing blank Qs over and over looks really silly and tires your fingers). Also, the obsession with landing Qs at max range over and over to get gold is all-consuming and I can't focus on the map while doing it. There's too much going on.

Ezreal has truly become a hyperactive magical child on drugs role-play fantasy. How do people play this champion without feeling horribly overwhelmed/distracted?

Also, team fighting with him is just way too much... Its so much effort/unreliability for such meh results. I'd rather kite with a traditional right clicker (much more consistency of damage).

No wonder I've managed to defeat ADC Ezreal so many times. It takes way too much concentration to play.

Played with an Ezreal in my team last week and the guy got a full on pentakill.

I think Riot has a hard time completely balancing Ezreal's already versatile playstyle.

His laning phase is extremely easy so long as he lands skillshots and doesn't feed his ass off. And even if you get behind you can easily turtle the hell out of your lane by last-hitting and poking with your Q. You farm until you get that early game sheen and tear and you can win trades with little to no effort at all because on-hit damage can proc from his Q hits. Combine that with a Nami support and Ezreal does Draven level damage even when his AD is relatively low.

Usually you just gotta pray that your team has hard engage and can shut him down in team fights later on.
