Well, I've been able to test a weekend with only 5-man queues since we get more IP if we have larger premades this weekend. I must say I had almost no issues with toxicity and I had a very fun weekend. If this were the norm I'd be the happiest man on earth.

I have a lot of fun anyway. Yes, sometimes the enemy is better, since the game is horribly unbalanced in URF mode, but that didn't change the experience much for me. If I get angry, I just pick an OP champ I main and the problem's solved. Teemo was especially unbeatable.

I mainly played Blitzcrank. Had a lot of fun.

Actually, what amused me the most about playing Blitzcrank was taking territories. I built Rabaddon, Lich and Nashor, and just ran across the lane ulting minion waves and melting towers. It was hilarious.

Though flashing into people and ulting was pretty fun too :P

Lichbane and Nashors? I would have never thought about that, but it does make sense with some of the raw AP nerfs to certain items *cough* Zhonya's *cough*. Nashor's and Overdrive's attack speed are both at x1.5 normal so, with AP damage on towers and Lichbane procs, those must have been some quick towers.

Tried the new BC Lucian build. Promising, but I couldn't do much because their mid Quinn basically spent the entire game making my life a living hell.

Still won though.

And the Rocket Punch auto-attack reset, too. Those towers went down in no time, and I'd casually pull and ult people if they tried to interfere :P

Figures. Gragas finally gets to be in a Summoner Showdown video, and he spends the whole thing standing there. What a ripoff.

Vayne synergies?

Hi I'm new to Nation States and this thread ^.^ I'm silver 3 (primary: support, secondary: jungle) and I was curious your thoughts on the best support synergies with Vayne. So far some of the best supports for her I've heard are Nami and Janna, but I love playing Morgana support with a Vayne. Any thoughts?

Silver 3? Wow. I think you're the highest ELO person in this thread.

Got Janna and Malphite recently. Was saving up for Leona, but I figured a good support and a top tank was a better deal than just the one support.
Janna I played when she was free a while back and I had fun, Malphite I'd never played before but he doesn't seem that difficult to play with, nothing too complex, which is good for me cause my top tanks are just there for if I can't get the spot I want.
Janna's a little harder to play, if only because getting her Q timed right can be a bitch. Feels good when you do though.

I play Malphite as a support. Surprisingly effective.

Yeah, I can imagine he would be. Might see about getting a build done up for him as support.

I find Janna to be the best support for Vayne. Her shield's bonus AD causes a total nightmare for the enemy team early game. In case anything goes wrong, Janna has a lot of disengage from her Q, but also her W and ult if needed. If not, those same CC abilites give Vayne the possibility of repositioning to use her E. If played well, by that time you'll be dealing tons of damage and receiving close to none because of Janna and Vayne's CC.
Another champ that synergizes well with Vayne would be Blitz. Q-E-ing the enemy close to a wall creates the same effect, letting Vayne use her E. Loads of CC.

Alvecia wrote:Janna's a little harder to play, if only because getting her Q timed right can be a bitch. Feels good when you do though.

I usually keep Janna's Q for disengaging. The cooldown is quite high and the ability is more useful when your carry needs to escape. It's also so much easier to hit when the enemy isn't concentrating on running away, but on going in. You generally max it last anyway, so the utility is more important than the damage.

That's true, I should probably use it more like that.

In lane and later on, Vayne really wants protection and peel - and Morg does offer both. However, if you have a solid tank in top or in the jung, then you would want something like a Janna, Nami, Morg, or even Lulu. That gives you a slightly squishy lane, so you definitely want to play safe while the Vayne farms up, but if you can get a gank and get them rolling then you are set. Thresh is also good with basically everyone since his kit is just so good. If you are against a lane with good cc or engage, like a Leo or Thresh, then Morg is always a good pick to shut them down. Braum can also be solid because of Vayne's aa reset, but that really depends on who you are up against. In all honesty, playing whomever you are most comfortable and best on is going to take you pretty far. I got to Gold IV last season simply by playing Cait whenever I could and Xin when I could not, so if you want to play Morg, just do it. Morg's bind, black shield, and ult are all pretty impactful abilities that allow her to be useful even when behind and I would much rather have a person who loves playing their champ, since those people tend to put in the time to get better, then someone who is picking simply for a matchup. I hope that helps! ^_^

Twisted Treeline.

I used to play it a decent bit a while back, but it got boring quickly.

Also the game isn't balanced around that game mode, so bullshit is common. :/

This is the best advice. Don't choose a champion you're less comfortable with just because they counter the enemy or synergize with your allies. Most of the work is still you, the champion is only a small part. In a game where 10% more games are lost by people that swear (this is an actual statistic that appears sometimes when you join a game, by the way), being comfortable is what matters most. Not just your pick, but your general mood and current problems affect your gameplay much more than you'd think. :D

I actually got to Gold IV by playing only Vi toplane. I've seen one Vi toplane since then, in all games I've ever played. :P

Great Order wrote:Does anyone here play TT?

It's so boring. The game is faster but it loses the strategy element that SR has. Jungling is rendered useless by roaming, since the map is so small that you can just walk from a lane to the other without anyone noticing in time. There also doesn't really seem to be a meta, which I dislike.

Only faggits play Fisted Freeline. Summoner's Rift is the only decent map they got.
