Holy shit. This is the worst patch I've ever seen.
They ruined so many items with this. Guess nobody will be building Morellonomicon ever again.

They basically told mages to bend over here. Fuck, that's my primary role for 4 years.

This is actually terrible, rest in peace mid lane for the next 3 patches or so until this shit is balanced.

I just don't understand the thinking behind remaking all the AP items.

''They are too similar to each other.''

This is just plain wrong. There are plenty of different tactical considerations that go into AP item buys already. I'll admit its not the most complex (usually it boils down to... ''oh its a tough AP match-up? Better rush Abyssal instead of going Morello first'') but its still a lot more complex than say... ADC buys which are generally always the same order (just depends on which champion you play; but you'll pretty much never vary the first 3 items on say a Jinx or MF build).

Also, the new items with the actives (dashing forward etc) sound EXTREMELY sloppy and I doubt they will contribute positively to the gaming experience. I already hate Aurelion mid so much, he'll be even more of a pain now with these actives on the table.

Ascension sucks. It's just Dominion with a lot of fog.

It plays like a poorly-implemented version of Heroes of the Storm. Heroes of the Storm does it so much better.

I tried playing it but the game time felt extremely long, the lack of vision is EXTREMELY annoying, and playing AD carries is a major pain (all the surprise attack options and the maze-like structure seems to favour assassins and tanks).

Also... do NOT play any mana-based characters.

Vladimir is a great champion for this game mode though.

Seriously, though, my brother and I pondered whether or not Garen is a ''serious'' champion or whether or not Riot was trolling a little bit when introducing him to the game. I mean really? A bombastic dude in shining armour who SPINS AROUND LIKE A SPINNING TOP? And then shouts bombastic and cliched phrases like... ''We fight for those who cannot...'' ''I WILL NOT FALTER!''

There's also something about his play-style (especially when you are winning) that kind of makes you feel like you're playing a kind of a prick character. You just run in, shining... and then start spinning around like a top before executing. And of course, Garen yells...

Look at the original champions and what they were originally. Gangplank was just a stupid orange eating pirating (still is), Malphite is a rock, Annie is a six year old etc. Garen was meant to be a simple and straightforward character, players learn the game with him then move on to other things. Something similar would be Warwick.

Gangplank was just a stupid orange eating pirating (still is), Malphite is a rock, Annie is a six year old etc. Garen was meant to be a simple and straightforward character, players learn the game with him then move on to other things. Something similar would be Warwick.

I think Annie is 9, actually. Least I recall reading that somewhere.

I still can't get over just how epic Rugged Garen looks and how he looks like a Stark bannerman. He looks LIKE A BOSS.

There are unique joys to playing as Garen, spinning around while shouting bombastic lines (''I WILL NOT FALTER!'') and then getting a bunch of kills in team fights while tanking ridiculous amounts of damage.

Its just too bad that his laning is so binary. I find that depending on the match-up, I'll either completely destroy the other laner from the get go (ex against Shen, Yasuo, Riven) or completely get destroyed from the start (ex against Darius and Quinn). Its pretty much never a balanced matchup.

Been having surprising amounts of fun with Zilean recently. He can put on good pressue in lanes and can be a lifesaver (literally) in teamfights. Think I'll be buying him next when I build up my ip.

At the rate Riot is reworking all of the traditional champions in my pool, I think it might be safest to invest in playing tons and tons of Miss Fortune. She is probably one of the least likely to be reworked since the AD marksmen update was a fairly recent phenomenon.

I'm surprised she's not played more to be honest.

1. Unbelievably strong laning phase (you effortlessly harass the enemies back with your Bouncing Bullets for massive amounts of damage), one of the most dominant laning phases for an ADC

2. Has an unbelievably cool and powerful AOE nuke capability (on an ADC for goodness sake), allowing you to switch between fighting as an auto DPS dealer and a caster based on the situation's demands; if the situations allow it, you can nuke their whole team

3. Extremely intuitive and user-friendly skill sets. Movement speed/attack speed boost on low cool down? Check. AOE slow for chase and disengage? Check. In-lane harass that can effortlessly hit BEHIND minions? Check. AOE Nuke? Check. The only thing that is missing is a Dash/Blink ability but people seem to have no issue playing Jinx or Kog Maw.

4. Easy CS-ing and wave control at all stages in the game. Your abilities are unbelievably useful for controlling the minion wave position (pushing or freezing) and for catching the tricky CS hits. Contrast that to say Ezreal (who only has 1 ability to help him CS/waive control and its a skill shot) or Jinx (who has to deal with the awkwardness of switching between weapons). Make it Rain and Bullet Time are great for minion control.

5. Very epic splash arts for some of her skins. Unbelievably epic.

Kog'maw really has become the eazy mode ADC. Even I do well with him and I'm possibly the worst ADC on Euw at my elo.
I literally just gotta activate my W and right click whatever I want dead. 'Tis so cheesy.

Yeah, ever since they nerfed her after her release she's been rather crap. Her only strongpoint is her mobility, but if you want that you might aswell pick Lee Sin, who shows up in every game anyway.

I remember when she just came out, my pal played her jungle then and shrekt the scrubs quite nicely. Not so much after the nerf though.

Never actually played mid, I often prefer support, but I'll give it a try. He has some excellent chase down, could be fun.

He's got good damage and mobility but appears way too squish if you ask me. Everytime he tries to gank me I just cc and burst him, then walk off while spamming emotes.

Does give me free buffs do.
