How long do these ''reworks'' usually take from the time the developer's start talking about it? Weeks? Months? Years?

I am very nervous about this proposed Vladimir rework, especially as I've heard whispers about this ''Stashu'' and his controversial rework of Cassiopeia. Anyone know what this rework involved? How widespread is the opinion that the rework ''ruined'' Cassiopeia?

I wonder if I should start posting and begging Riot to leave my vampire alone...

I hope they do not destroy one of my favourite champions...

It's Riot, they do whatever they want and generally don't give two shits about the concequenses, kids will keep buying rito points either way.

Apparently this is part of a Big 6 Mage Update rework. The other candidates are Cassiopeia, Vel Koz, Zyra, Malhazar, and Brand.

Well... at least they'll leave my Annie alone (for now, in the future, who knows).

If they wreck Vladimir, its going to leave a very bad taste in my mouth.

Also, why the heck target Vladimir? He isn't even upsetting the meta, in the last 50 games I've played he's maybe been picked only twice by the enemy team in any lane. He's not even popular.

Also, it worries me that some of the developers seem to suggest/imply that Vladimir lacks ''distinctiveness'' or that there's no reason to pick him over another mage. There's plenty of reasons to do so. He's a short-range AOE DPS damage dealer with lots of sustain, a reliable escape, and an Ultimate with damage amplification; against some picks he has a very strong laning phase... against others he gets destroyed (ex Riven). He's a VERY unique champion, very distinctive with clear strengths and weaknesses.

Some of the suggestions on the board are some of the worst ideas I have ever seen.

[*] Health gained from using Q can be ''stolen back'' by the enemy within a time frame
[*] Turn Q into a skill shot
[*] Keep R's damage amplification but change it so that it doesn't apply UNTIL it pops, like Zed's Ult (to give the enemy a chance to Zhonya or QSS the ult completely?)

I sure hope Lord Stashu will not choose to humour these people. REALLY? Seriously? The champion would be wrecked....

Given the nature of some of these suggestions, I'm surprised it hasn't been suggested that Vladimir should be reworked so that he can switch between Giant Bat and human form.

I just did it.

I've added my crazy suggestion for the rework (might as well with all the crazy stuff other people are suggesting; if its going to be crazy, better a crazy buff than a crazy nerf; hey I don't wan to see people ''steal back'' the heath Vladimir takes with his Q).

I suggested that after casting his R, Vladimir gains a window of time until the R pops where he can walk around and Ignite every enemy champion once (whether or nor they've been hit with R or not). I said that this was supposed to be a tribute to Anne Rice's vampire Lestat who can set people on fire with the power of his mind. If this gets implemented, I am going to laugh myself to death...

Buffs on his passive will help him a lot. If they buff his W and Passive he has the potential to be cancer. But we should wait to see his numbers...

he looks a bit like Thanos, except serpentine

it sounds like he's inevitably going to push the wave with his passive and just get Ganked as a laner... maybe put him in JG if his stats and passive allow it? There's some CC and mobility for Ganks, he could disengage counter JGs or even counter JG himself. The orbiting stars would help with JG farm and early battles.

Watching the gameplay he actually does a nice amount of damage if played right. The problem is you have to have good positioning in order to do proper damage. I love that you can q and then e all the way from your nexus to the end of the enemy's jungle and unleash a massive star that's bigger than the baron and dragon pit combined. I think his main problem is that you can't do any damage if an enemy is inside your star passive, but they have the ultimate and stun for that, so you can position back into a damaging position.

Rammus or Volibear better in your opinion?

I've just picked up Rammus and he seems very intuitive to play and effective at all levels. I just love the mobility with Q (gap-closing with Voli was a pain, even though now I'm thinking of taking Movement Speed Quints with him). I just think that Rammus has a better late game and overall more intuitive gameplay.

Yeah I see lots of Volibears. I'm confused why Rammus isn't favoured.

I don't know how the numbers actually work out, but it seems that theoretically Rammus is better in all respects. Both of them are very tanky characters with strong early Ganks who later transition into a front-line bruiser peel/limited initiation role.

It's easier to kite Volibear's Q than Rammus' Q (Rammus is faster). Rammus' Q can also be launched from a greater distance away. To compensate for the lower mobility, Voli may have to run movement speed somewhere in the runes page, which means sacrifices in armor or attack speed (which Rammus could run in the same slot). This is also an advantage for Rammus in team fights... he can reposition/chase/disengage a lot easier.

Their ultimates basically do the same thing except Rammus' can target a single champion multiple times.

Both of them do more damage the tankier they become (Rammus based on AD, Voli based on health). The problem with Voli though is that he has to land his Ws in order to use this advantage and W can't be used until AFTER he's landed a few auto attacks first. His W could miss (when he engages, the enemy may have moved away by the time he has enough attacks in to proc the W). On the other hand, Rammus' passive IMMEDIATELY converts a fraction of his armour into attack damage. So as soon as Rammus goes into a fight, his passive will ensure increased damage. Volibear has to stick to his target for a while before he can use his W. So while their itemisation is very similar (both build tons of protection items), Rammus gets a more consistent and reliable advantage for it.

Rammus also seems to have better peel. When you throw with Volibear you could throw the enemy champion in the wrong direction (there is greater room for error). Rammus? Just hit E and the enemy is literally forced to attack you while hurting themselves because of your W.

Am I missing something or does Rammus just seem like a better version of Voli? Volibear may have a powerful passive but Rammus' W offers tons of extra protection and Tankiness at later levels anyways.

He's basically a reincarnation of Bowser! He's the BOWS (''the boss'')!

I'm having a field day with Rammus. His late game is unbelievable (love the Taunt and the Armor with the damaging abilities when the enemy hits you).

Early Ganks are unbelievably effective. He just tanks everything, is super mobile with CDR runes, and can make some great plays.
