Can someone explain to me why people say Jinx is an ''easy ADC'' to play?

I notice she's generally a first pick in Ranked (seems to be the most popular aside from Lucian). Why is she picked so much?

I tried playing her and I didn't find her easy at all, in fact I struggled a lot. I can do great things with MF and Ashe but I find Jinx to be very unwieldy.

She theoretically deals more DPS with her autos but its hard to be in a position where you can keep shooting. I struggle quite a bit with her Minigun's short attacked range (its 25 units shorter than MF's autos but for me having played tons of MF games its very noticeable). I struggle with her severe lack of mobility boost (she doesn't have a teleport like Ezreal or a movement speed boost ability like MF has) and so it seems that I have trouble going into the fights where I'm needed in time.

Harassing with her seems difficult to do in lane. If i switch to Rockets I miss CS because of the weapon switch time. If I try to hit them with my Zapper it can get blocked by minions (and I actually have to aim it... whereas I could effortlessly fire Ashe's Volleys or MF's abilities which hit behind minions).

Why is Jinx an easy ADC to play?

If you want to defeat Annie, pick Vladimir mid and run full AP runes (rush Abyssal Sceptre) =) Pre-6 Annie literally can't do anything to you when you trade with her with Q. She'll burn her mana while you get your health back. When she gets to 6, hopefully you have the MR items in place and she can't 100-0 you.

Or play Lux if you're good at aiming binds (but its one of those abilities I can't land offensively for the life of me).

I'm okay with Veigar generally (unless you are a Gold commando player, then No, Gold players tend to beat the living hell out of me in laning).

I'd be more worried if you brought Lux, Leblanc, or Zed into the duel. =)

If you have the brainpower of a chimpanzee you shouldn't have to worry about a Lux, because that would mean you know how to dodge skillshots, but I don't play any of those. If I'm not rolling Veig you'll see me soaring around with Anivia, dealing 50% of your hp in damage from lvl 2 because Thunderlords is balanced.

Played her a lot during All for One, that cooldown and range is just dumb as shit and combined with her damage...

Atleast with Veigar you have to get relatively close, with Lux you can just chill behind your team with range like that.

Yeah Lux's cool downs are a bit generous. She DOES take skill to play though (unless I just really suck at her, entirely possible). Whenever I try to play her I can't land any Qs unless they are running in a straight line or running straight at me. As a result I just hold my Qs as a defensive weapon and don't play her at full potential. I just find it so slow (the projectile speed... say compared to an Ezreal Q or an Amumu Bandage toss).

Landing skillshots just takes a bit of practice. Eventually you learn to predict movements etc. Another thing you can try is to get close, making it easier to hit your stuff, but also leaving you more vulnerable to counter attack.

Well, you could say I have 'some experience' playing Veigar.. His reworked E's tricky to land but I pull it off 8/10 times and even when I don't my opponent's still fucked because, y'know, they're stuck in a cage.
Hell, I can even occasionally land my W without using the stun.

I would say playing her is cheap, but that's sortof the case with most champions these days.

Her minigun-Q gives her naturally high attack speed, helping her DPS output in the early game before ADCs get their Zeal item of choice, and never really goes away, giving her a lot of late game hypercarry potential. Her rocket-Q gives her extended range and AoE splash damage, which is great for harass. The switch time is pretty small - unless you've got minions dying every single second, there's plenty of windows to throw out harass without losing any creeps.

Her W is one of the highest-range spells in the game, and has a slow attached to it for follow-up, as well as allowing her to scout brush from a distance (since it reveals anything hit). Yeah, you have to aim it and it can hit minions but uh... that's pretty much a huge percentage of abilities in the game. I mean, c'mon, if you play Ezreal, you know how to use Ezreal Q. It takes a little practice to get used to the cast time, but once you get the hang of it, it's nice poke.

Her E gives her a 'get off of me' option to zone off people trying to jump on her, as well as an offensive option if she manages to get close enough to somebody she's chasing (in conjunction with her support), and mitigates her lack of mobility somewhat. Furthermore, mobility-wise, if you can trigger her passive in a teamfight (by say, blowing up a low health target trying to run away with her long-range execute ultimate), she can absolutely go on a rampage because of the speed boost allowing her to go crazy.

Among her strengths is that she's behind maybe Tristana as far as 'best siege character in the game', because she can just sit and wail on turrets with her minigun, plus she gets an escape option with her passive triggering on destroying turrets, allowing her some amazing push.

they changed the system so you can play with 4 friends in Ranked with no match-making penalty and climb. I've been taking full advantage of this to climb when I'm not practicing champions in Normals.
