Pretty much, considering the absolute state of modern Hollywood (especially since about ~2015-16 it seems).

The last movie I watched was Air Force One (1997) starring Harrison Ford. Before that was The Dead Pool (1988) starring Clint Eastwood.

Fury (2014), a pretty solid war flick overall.

Chartreuse is my favorite color.

The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)

Surprised this masterpiece didn't take out Best Picture at the 2011 Oscars. There must be some red faces at the Academy that they let this one get away.

(No but seriously, it was basically just the first film with a slightly bigger budget, more blood and a fourth wall breaking meta plot that was otherwise a 2 or 3 star film at best.)

The Lighthouse (2019).

A fine audiovisual work that you'll appreciate if you like the genre and the aesthetics.

Honestly, Robert Pattinson felt the most Batman of all the batmen. He wasn't Bruce Wayne struggling with being batman, he wasn't Bruce Wayne balancing between Bruce and Batman, he just *was* batman (obsessed to a point where he simply doesn't know how to not be Batman anymore), and Pattinson nailed the delivery on it. He's not looking to one day stop crime fighting or am out. He just is The Batman.

I also like the slow, constant and ominous inevitability they created.

Frankly, I don't want to compare it to The Dark Knight at lal, mainly because they are so totally alien to one another. The Dark Knight is amazing in its own right, probably one of the best action films and comic book films ever made.

The Batman just isn't much of an action film; it's a crime thriller/mystery, which is just an amazing breath of fresh air into the comic book movie genre. I don't think The Batman is flawless, but it is certainly an excellent movie that eschews a lot of what people have come to expect from comic book movies. I absolutely loved the movie from concept to execution, and only want a few things buttoned up.

Just saw it tonight, and I absolutely agree with your assessment; the action scenes in particular gave me goosebumps.

Orlando (1992). Interesting premise, but feels a lil' too light.

Una Sombra en mi Ojo

If you were wondering, it is a movie that tells the events during a bombing in Copenhagen. The bombing was meant to be done in a building where the Geheime Staatspolizei was taking hostage 30 members of the resistance. The first round did hit the building, but the second and third rounds... hit a school full of children, it was so sad I let a tear slip through my cheek

The original title of that Danish movie is Skyggen i mit øje. The English title is The Shadow in My Eye.

I was thinking of translating it, but I thought I would get it wrong for some reason.

Platoon. Hard to watch but extremely well-done. If a war movie makes you uncomfortable it's definitely doing its job.

Last movie I've seen was Turning Red. It's better than what everyone says, plus the battle at the end between Mei and her mom is pretty cool!
