Watched Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, weird watching a Spider-Man film that didn't totally suck ass. I actually quite enjoyed it.

Lady Macbeth - darker than the usual twee British costume dramas, and all the better for it.

Went on a Charlton Heston dystopian mini-film fest. Watched Soylent Green and washed that down with Omega Man.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Birds of Passage I was a bit torn, I enjoyed the crime story side of it, but I wasn't sure how real all the cultural stuff was - it felt a bit fake and Carlos Castenadaish.

I've watched Zack Snyder's Justice League and found it to be pretty good, at least much better than the 2017 version.

The only downside of the film was that it was even longer than Avengers: Endgame.

4 hours, seriously?!

The Crazies. The 2010 one. I thought it was pretty silly, but otherwise it wasn’t bad.

Luca. It's a great movie but I found it slightly monotonous.

Fast9 was the first Fast and Furious movies I've seen in the theaters since the first one. I realize now, I was watching these movies all wrong.

Because there were some stunts and set pieces where everyone did them super serious straight face and you can't help but laugh out loud. And that's what the audience was doing. All that super seriousness in the face of just absolute nonsense is the joke.

And, like, they were fans. They would applaud when some legacy character would appear, do all the franchise behavior you'd expect. But when they swing a Charger on a vine (it was in the trialer) it was seen as a bit as much as it was a set piece. It kind of makes sense now.

That movie looked great. I don't remember any of the actors or plot. I'd probably watch that movie again just with the soundtrack.

Yeah it was a good soundtrack, and the lead actress is a damn good singer.

I think as a film it was overshadowed by Once upon a time in Hollywood, both referencing the Manson killings.
