Revenge of the Sith for the umpteenth time. I still think it's the best of the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

furtopia stands out in my mind. i may have seen one since then, but not very long after, as i know the last time i saw one was when i was living in a different place then i am now. there's been one or two that might have interested me since then, but none that i know of that if i did would have made me feel like it was something i should absolutely have to see.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

I recently re-watched Solo: A Star Wars Story. Still not sure why it did so poorly at the box office, I think it's a pretty good Star Wars movie.

Knives Out!

Quite good, I'd rate it 9 out of 10.

Baby Driver - Edgar Wright always delivers an entertaining film. Not too long, good action sequences, and a heart.

1917. Really, really, really good. Deakin’s cinematography is as excellent as ever, and the whole ‘filmed to look like one continuous shot’ thing was executed perfectly. Definitely my favorite movie to have been released in 2019, even beating Joker and Ford v Ferrari.

Bullitt. 9/10 and arguably McQueen's best role. Plus the 1968 Mustang GT in it sold for $3.74 million over the weekend.

Gangs of New York. Meh. 2.5/5. The weapons, set, and politics were cool, but Leo Dio's protagonist face makes it so boring to watch imo. Some of the scenes reminded me of Satyricon which I saw for the first time last month, and it would have been really neat if they went more in that direction with it. Make it just as absurd and exciting as possible.

I watched Rogue One again. I definitely think it's one of the best of the more recently-made Star Wars movies.

I took a peek at Y2K: The Movie to see if the cringe-fest ended with plenty of explosions a la Threads or the Millennium Bug parody from The Simpsons: it didn’t.

I blame the Oddity Archive for gluing me to Millennium Bug-related fiction.

Trying to watch Assassin's Creed but I am getting increasingly annoyed by the sound design, music and sound effects are deafening and the dialogue is an incomprehensible mumbling. I might not last much longer with it.

Gangster Squad a great cast giving some really good performances, but strangely something didn't work in the film overall.

Yesterday I re-watched A New Hope for the umpteenth time. And earlier tonight I re-watched The Empire Strikes Back, which is still my favorite of all the Star Wars movies.

Bad Boys for Life. It was a mistake.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.
