I've been watching some old Republic and Universal film serials from the 1930s and 40s. Undersea Kingdom a bit camp and silly, Drums of Fu Manchu is the best I've watched so far but racist by today's standards.

Into the Spider-verse.
It's now my favorite super hero movie.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople, it was okay, maybe not as funny as I was led to expect by Mark Kermode.

BlacKkKlansman, which is excellent. That it lost to Green Book is a crime.

Tau. A Netflix sci-fi thriller about AI. It was surprisingly well written with exquisite cinematography & art direction. Every frame was like a painting and the lead actress was likeable and believable.

This. Samuel L Jackson was pretty good in this and I also liked the "cat". I also particularly liked the relationship between the main character and her best friend. And I liked the 1990s aesthetic and there were good songs, so that's a bonus.

Rewatched Blue Velvet, I still don't like David Lynch films. He takes an inordinate amount of time to say very little, and he does it clumsily.

Just finished V for Vendetta, it was on my list for a while because genre-wise it's located entirely within my alley, finally got around to it.

Love, Death + Robots.
Awesome series of scifi animated short films on Netflix, i really hope this gets a second season. The animation quality on some of them was fantastic.

Hurt Locker. Wasn’t bad, but I didn’t really like how the focus was mostly on Renner’s character, I would’ve liked seeing how Sanson and Eldridge were doing in civilian life as well.

Saw Green Book at the cinema the other day. Beautiful story but the ending seemed a tad unrealistic to me.

Apollo 18.
Not a horrible movie, not a great one either. Overall kinda decent.
