Conan the Barbarian (2011) and it was awful.

Bohemian Rhapsody

Some inaccuracies and odd pacing at times but it was still enjoyable. I'm glad this introduced/reintroduced a lot of people to Queen.

Stan and Ollie. Good performances, kind of a quiet film about friendship which I appreciate. Incredible opening shot.

The Kid Who Would Be King.

Very underwhelming, and I wasn't even sure what I was expecting. Decent performances for the most part and I liked the beginning animation and the references to Arthurian legend, but the story was pretty dull, the characters and the villain had one-note personalities and the plot was rushed beyond all belief.

Jason Bourne, quite enjoyable, it had a good cast and was well directed. But it suffered from the fate of later sequels, of needing to be even better than the films before, just to seem as good.

Green Book

I loved this. It had a great message behind it without being overbearing. The characters are great and it was awesome to see them evolve throughout the movie. There were also some funny moments, so that's a bonus. Overall, I think this should win Film of the Year; it's the sort of film the Academy likes but it's actually good (unlike Shape of Water).

Royal Flash, the combination of Richard Lester and George McDonald Frasier was always good. A favourite of mine since I saw it when it came out. Oliver Reed made a great Bismark.

Edward Scissorhands

All I can say is that it was beautiful.

Lego Movie 2. Delivered about what the first one did, perhaps a little clearer in the execution because you know the gimmick at this point.

Based on a True Story (2017). I'd been meaning to get around to this one since it first was shown at Cannes, had mixed feelings overall, but it was about what I expected. The execution is a bit hamhanded, but that's also sort of the point and Eva Green is, as always, wonderful. Fairly minor Polanski by any standard though

Shark Tale

Watched it on a charter bus and it was hilarious

Jupiter Ascending it kind of looked good, and was a fun ride up to the point I just lost the plot and gave up. I'll maybe try again to watch it next time it is on TV.

Came home from work and the Mrs. was watching 1996’s Executive Decision.

Glass, good movie and I did not expect that ending.

Er ist wieder da (2015), also known as Look who's back.

It was pretty funny at first, but like any political satire, it gets into uncanny and unsettling very, very quickly. The last few scenes still gave me the chills.

The Jerk

I loved the off-kilter humour in this (eg. "He hates these cans!" )!

L.A. Confidential

Gotta say, lived up to the hype for the most part. Great performances all around.
Some of Kevin Spacey’s monologue seems much darker viewing with current knowledge.

Dreams (1990). The only late period Kurosawa I hadn't seen, and arguably the best of the bunch. The composition and colors are absolutely beautiful, and it mixes together a good cross section of both his period and contemporary visuals. Not much story, but very dreamlike.

The Lego Movie 2
Very good movie. Almost as good as the first one, but some things about it aren't quite as interesting.

I tried watching A Star is Born but I could only make it halfway. Your typical rise to fame story but more boring. Felt like an ego-fest for Lady Gaga.

Didn't have my glasses on and read that as "The Cured, Indian film..." I was happily imagining a Bollywood zombie dance number.

Green Book

It was a lot of fun, but I can absolutely see why people are describing it as a film by white people for white people.

Around the World in 80 days (2004)

The movie was rated quite negatively on the internet, but I found it to be rather enjoyable. A lot of action and moving between different parts of the world in the 1890s, and quite funny too. It differs quite a lot from the original book for comedical purposes, of course.
