Rewatched Children of Men. It seemed appropriate to watch a dystopian film with immigrants being kept in cages. It's a good film.

Thelma and Louise. Not watched again since it came out. Found it curiously unengaging. The male characters are paper thin.

Incredibles 2. Another great movie by Pixar unsurprisingly. Although, there's some scenes that can trigger Photosensitive epilepsy seizures, lots of bright flashing lights. I'm pretty astounded that they didn't think it wasn't worthy enough of a seizure warning, because there were whole scenes that was nothing but flashing lights. Luckily I guess the movie theatre got word of it and made their own warnings.

Same here.

It was good but was leaner than the first one. What i thought about the villain makes all the Objectivitist takes cringly even if i see where they're coming from.

Wasnt it

Fucking Jason Isaacs was one of my favourite parts even though he is not in it that long, and the bit with the bishops was gold.

Yeah, I couldn't really take the villain seriously since they followed all of the troupes of explaining their plan to the hero and whatnot. Still smartly written, and compared to other animated movies recently... a lot better than the usual cookie-cutter family movies that want to appeal to as wide of an audience as they can-- looking at Illumination and Sony Pictures especially here.

But anyways, back to the topic, I also re-watched Coco and seeing it a second time made me appreciate it a lot more. Pixar's still got it :>

Girlhood, it's an okay film but I think the over-hyping of it was detrimental, it can't but help disappoint when you finally watch it.

Juan of the Dead, Cuban zomcom. Starts out well, but starts to drag towards the end.

Blackhat, couldn't understand a word of Chris Hemsworth's mumbling and the subtitles were not properly synched, so the whole thing was pretty incomprehensible shit.

I am resisting with every fibre of my being to make a cheap joke in its direction due to its name.

Rewatched Blade Runner for the umpteenth time. This time I watched the final cut version, not as good as the original international release version in my view.

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.

Twas alright, not too shabby though the plot was not that great, but decent acting, effects looked good for the most part too, had fun with it.

Also god damn is Bryce Dallas Howard gorgeous.

Blade Runner 2049. I started out really liking it and thinking it was a good sequel, but two hours in it was really dragging and my enthusiasm waned. They should give it to someone else to re-edit it, Ridley Scott has got too self-indulgent.

Ridley Scott edited it? I thought it was all Villeneuve. I thought Scott just provided, like, suggestions and wasn’t really hands on.

Neither of them edited the movie directly, no.

Someone else may well have edited it. I just think Ridley Scott has the power nowadays to get what he wants.
