Our Conquest
Never questioned
For we are immortals!

It was...meh, nothing really spectacular or interesting about the movie. It felt like they were trying to cram in too many things at one go. Even the nuke scene didn't make any sense. Not to mention wrecking any semblance of plot continuity from the old trilogy to Apocalypse.

They were basically resorting to new character outfits and fight scenes to make money. The plot was crappy.

Anyway, the last movie I watched was Mad Max: Fury Road which had been the only decent movie on TV at that time (a few hours ago). Aside from annoying HBO trying to prove to you that it isn't TV (well if that's true then wtf am I using to watch your channel), the movie was meh/10.

Penguins of Madagascar, not very good. Large parts of it appeared to have been put together by a games level designer rather than a screenwriter.

The Mechanic (1974)

The movie follows a "mechanic" (a hitman) played by Charles Bronson, who after a series of some rather unfortunate events starts living with the son of his previous target whom he trains to become a hitman like him. The movie is very boring and at least 30 minutes of it (especially the middle part) are filled with pointless filler scenes where the 2 characters engage in random activities. Later I found out on the Web that the reason for this is that the movie was originally supposed to be a gay romance between the "mechanic" and his pupil, but that whole aspect of the story got cut out of the script's final draft. Without the gay romance, the only things this movie has to offer are a few action scenes with over-the-top explosions and an unusual ending that is very nihilistic and full of black humor. 2011's The Mechanic starring Jason Statham is supposed to be a remake of this film, but the 2 movies actually have very little in common.

4/10
I would not recommend this movie.

It was like watching 28 Weeks Later + Aliens.

Both good movies, and this one was good too.
