Society, bit of a cult film. A dark satire somewhere between David Cronenberg's Scanners and Lindsay Anderson's If.

Last chance Harvey - I recorded it because I hadn't realised Dustin Hoffman was in it. I just have an irrational aversion to Dustin Hoffman.

Arrival (2016)

I saw that it got good reviews, but I found it disappointing.

The process of decoding the creatures' language from scratch was too far-fetched, the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis was taken to its extreme, plus the time loop just doesn't make sense - it's paradoxical. After all, it's just a sci-fi movie and doesn't have be scientifically 100% accurate, but I think I have a right to expect some rationality from science fiction!

Rewatching Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer 1964 right now.

Won't be as awesome as Rogue One. :P

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the 2013 version. It looked fantastic and the score was great, but didn't really grab me as much as it needed to. The plot seemed to have been lifted partly from Stephen Poliakov's Shooting the Past.

Assassin's creed
The action scenes wren't half bad but the past plot wasn't even half-baked and i hardly cared about anyone in the present.
They should have ported the past plot of the first game over.

The Hitch-Hiker (1953)

IDK, it was not particularly interesting and there were some scenes that had a lot of unused potential, but I guess this movie paved the way for similar movies in the future (like that epic 1986 The Hitcher).

The power that the aliens have concerning the tine paradox is very similar to one of the powers that Dr Manhattan from the comic Watchmen has. However, he almost never uses it, and in one situation when it would come in very useful he is unable to use it because something that the bad guy did disabled most of Manhattan's powers.

Rogue One - A Star Wars Story

"Militannia the Eternal"

Nations have risen and fallen like waves in the sea
Such a fate will never befall our mighty country
For the strength of our leader,
the strength of our people,
the strength of our military will NEVER falter
and will NEVER become like the calm sea!

Our Rise
Our Ascension
Our Conquest
Never questioned
For we are immortals!

To Militannia
the Eternal!
