Neighbors 2, maybe one of the most socially progressive mainstream movies I have ever seen.

The Bird With the Crystal Plumage (1970)-Pretty good early Argento slasher/mystery with lots of wacky side characters to brighten things up. Nothing he wouldn't do better with Deep Red though.

Slacker (1991)-Really experimental movie with basically no plot. Basically a slightly satirical day in the life of 1989 Austin, TX. I dug it, but it'll be years before I'd think about watching it again.

Enemy at the Gates (2001)-An entertaining movie, but pretty over the top as far as war movies go. It's a sniper film with nothing but headshots, which, according to everything I read, is generally not a probable thing. In fact, pretty much everything seems to fail the realism test. Good performances all around though. Always weird seeing the Soviets and the Germans portrayed with mostly British accents (except for Ed Harris' very noticeable east coast American accent). Wouldn't put it up there with its contemporaries (Saving Private Ryan, Thin Red Line, Tae Guk Gi) or the much better German film about Stalingrad, but still a pretty underrated film nonetheless.

Rewatched The Prestige, it's okay but somehow it doesn't have the tension it should to make it interesting. I don't like Christian Bale's acting, like Johnny Depp he always seems to be doing an impersonation of someone rather than acting.

At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

Die Hard 2 - Good fun for the most part, but suffers from trying do everything bigger and bolder than before, losing a lot of the charm which made the original Die Hard such a brilliant film - 6.5/10

Videodrome

A fine, fine film. One of my favorite horror films of the 1980s. Probably edges out The Fly for my favorite Cronenberg movie.

X-Men: Apocalypse.

It was...meh, nothing really spectacular or interesting about the movie. It felt like they were trying to cram in too many things at one go. Even the nuke scene didn't make any sense. Not to mention wrecking any semblance of plot continuity from the old trilogy to Apocalypse.

The Angry Birds Movie- Pretty good IMHO.

In all honesty, I didn't get the "anti-immigration" thing from the movie at all. The pigs and their actions seemed more similar to European colonists rather than modern immigrants, in my opinion.

Big Eyes a bit formulaic as a biopic in places, but considering it was a Burton film, I was very pleased. Much better than his typical drek.

Who Can Kill A Child? (1976)

Kind of a lost classic of 70s horror. Think "The Birds" meets "Children of the Corn". Slow pace picks up to quite a horrific crescendo.
