Spring in a Small Town, considering it's reputation as one of the best Chinese films I was somewhat underwhelmed.

I just finished the last movie of the Hunger Games. If they took all the love related parts out, the movie would just be brutal.

I have not seen this, as I'm not big on Chinese cinema from before the 1980s or so.

Have you seen Devils On the Doorstep? An excellent black comedy about World War II from the perspective of some luckless peasants just trying to survive.

No I haven't, I'll keep an eye out for it as it sounds interesting.

Just watched Captain America : Civil War with a couple of good friends. Lot better than the one I watched before (BvS).

I Am Legend (2007)

Will Smith did a good job and I liked all the post-apocalyptic bits about him surviving as the only human left in New York, but overall I didn't care for this. Nothing here that 28 Days Later and other similar films didn't already do better.

The Kingsman which was pretty damn good. Morgan Freeman is great at being a douchey bad guy and it was both funny and serious at the same time.

It's good if you like historical/war movies (and explosions, though not Michael Bay style :p ).

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 - unusually for me a sequel I enjoyed more than the original. It's downright psychedelic.

The Osterman Weekend. The performances are all generally quite good, but god, what a plotless mess.

Margin Call, really enjoyed it. Absolutely fantastic cast working well together. I really like thrillers without guns, car chases, or explosions but in high risk settings like gambling, politics, high finance, and con tricks.

Jungle Book. I have to say that I had a really hard time getting into the story.

Also,
the changes to the older animated movie, especially the ending, were not an improvement imo.
Still, I had a good time.

Pros: Peace, love, faith, intersectionality and vegetables. :)
Cons: Militarism, capitalism... Well, kyriarchy, basically.

Pulp Fiction, I love the how the stories told in a strange order.
Debates on the internet lead to vastly unresearched opinions masked as arguments, inversely debate in person leads to more educated and researched arguments. You have a super highway full of information, use it.

Queen of the Desert. Beautifully shot film, well-acted, well-written. I suppose it's a bit formulaic, but it hasn't deserved its negative press.
