Logic on Fire: The Life and Legacy of Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. He was one of my favorite ministers in the 60s and 70s, and was very influential (and controversial) in several denominational circles outside of his own. Very well done.

Man of Steel. the DCCU is garbage. They should just do a hard reboot and plan it out instead of trying to push content out to ride the MCUs success.
So the CCP won't let me be or let me be me so let me see, they tried to shut me down on CBC but it feels so empty without me.

Crocodile Dundee on the old VHS tonight! Pulled the thing out for my little nephew recently so he could watch some Thomas the Tank Engine. Been on a classic VHS kick ever since.

Knives Out

Quirky whodunit, but I liked it.

That’s a fun one. I like Chris Evans’ performance. Nice to see an actor playing against type.

Yesterday I saw Archive; it was very lackluster (compared to similar films like Ex Machina), I cant recommend it.

So I just saw the Disney movie "Moana" for the first time. I know, I know, LTTP. That movie deserves all the praise it got. It's bloody excellent. Most people like the song, "How Far I'll Go" because it's an excellent song, and it truely is an excellent song, however, in my opinion, "We know the way" is a far better song, and definately the best song in the movie. Here's a little Easter Egg from that film. I'll hide it behind a spoiler, because it contains a spoiler, and some of you might not have seen the film, but intend to

When Maui takes his hook back from Tamatoa, and he tries and fails to turn into an eagle, one of the things he turns into was Sven, the reindeer from the Disney Movie "Frozen"

Knives Out

It was good but the ending was a bit complicated. I hate to re-watch that part and read the plot on Wikipedia lol.

2010: The Year We Make Contact - the lesser-known sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I'd say it was a pretty good movie, even though it felt a lot more like WarGames than 2001 in terms of its themes. It's much more conventional and less avant-garde than the movie it's a sequel to as well.

Just watched "Kick Ass" again.

Enjoyable but also totally forgettable. I had seen it 8 or 9 years ago, and I didn't know the story line anymore.
But very nice little details in the film.

Possessed (1947), I wonder why in films from the 40's like this and The Big Sleep they show it raining really heavily in Los Angeles. I can't think of a modern film set there that doesn't show it having permanent sunshine.

Live Die Repeat. Same day Beirut blew up. I was catching on with the movie but it was the same thing over and over again (yes I just did that), but I was checking on Beirut a lot during the movie.

It's all about setting the proper mood, film noir just wouldn't look right in bright sunlight.
